Eric Paschall spent the last few weeks weighing his options in the wake of Fordham firing Tom Pecora. The 6-foot-6 freshman swingman from Dobbs Ferry decided today to commit to Villanova.
UPDATE: Click here to read what Paschall told me about his commitment to Villanova and his decision to leave Fordham.
Paschall, who led Fordham in scoring as a freshman at 15.9 ppg, will have to sit out next season. He will not be eligible until the 2016-17 season, but will have three years of eligibility remaining. He recently announced that Villanova, Kansas, Providence and Florida were finalists and that he would consider returning to Fordham as well.
Paschall was the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year this season and was just named co-Met Rookie of the Year, along with Seton Hall’s Angel Delgado.
