CHSAA ‘A’ semifinals
Kennedy 55, Farrell 48: At Christ the King, Elijah Hughes scored 12 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Gaels (25-1) outscored Farrell 23-7.
Kennedy finished the game on a 26-7 run following a three-point play in the final seconds of the third quarter by Malachi de Sousa (pictured above). The sophomore sixth man finished the game with 13 points. Junior Jordan Wright added eight, and assisted on de Sousa’s three-point-play basket.
Kennedy, in just its second year in the CHSAA, advanced to Friday night’s championship game. The top-seeded Gaels will play No. 6 Monsignor Scanlan at 7:45 p.m. at Fordham University.
