Rumors about where Jordan Tucker would play basketball next season were rampant ever since White Plains’ season ended last February. It was presumed the 6-foot-7 sophomore would end up out of the area. Instead, the smooth swingman announced today that he would transfer across town to Stepinac.
Tucker will enter next season as the area’s top recruit among underclassmen. He started for the Tigers as a freshman, and finished second on the team in scoring.
Tucker’s transfer also signaled a new era. The CHSAA changed its rule on transfers, and will now allow players to transfer in without sitting out a season. Previously, players had to sit a year unless their previous school had ended.
