So no standings and no game balls today. I’ll have to wait until play for Week 2 is complete for that, but can I perhaps interest you in a little Monday night football? That’s what we’ll have today thanks to last Thursday weather and this weekend’s holidays. A few teams opted not to play on Sunday after not practicing much—if at all—on Friday and Saturday.
I plan on stopping at either Hackley or Sleepy before hitting the Eastchester-Lakeland game. Check me out on Twitter @lohudinsider for updates all afternoon and evening.
It’s actually a pretty big night for Class A football. I think six of these teams (the last six listed) all have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. These games could go a long way in determining if that is possible.

Ramapo 15, Clarkstown South 14: In a completion of their game, which was suspended Thursday with 11:50 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Gryphons scored with under a minute remaining to pull within one on a TD pass from Hakim Santana to Juant’ea Brown. Rojay McDonald then ran in the two-point conversion for the victory, the first for new coach Duff Pannell. The dramatic TD was set up when Muti Alim, Preston Personna, and Rasso Anderson combined to force a fumble with less than a minute remaining.
