St. Anselm’s Mike McCahey was named an all-American on Monday. The 6-foot-5 freshman forward was selected as a member of the Division II Bulletin All-America All-Freshman team.
The honor caps quite a hardware haul for McCahey. He was also named: the ECAC and Northeast-10 Rookie of the Year; an ECAC Division II first-team All-Star; and second-team Northeast-10 All-Conference.
McCahey ranked fifth in the conference in scoring at 16.3 ppg and was 11th in rebounding at 7.2 rpg. He even ranked among the league leaders while also sitting among the league leaders in field goal percentage (.449) and 3-point field goal percentage (.386).
