In case you missed it on Twitter, I’ve learned that New Rochelle senior Joe Clarke and coach Rasaun Young will appear live on SportsCenter at 12:15 p.m. on Monday.
Clarke’s three-point play with 7.0 second remaining helped the Huguenots win Sunday’s Class AA state regional final against Kingston, 63-60. It was the team’s second win in the final seconds in their last three games.
Young appeared on SportsCenter with senior Khalil Edney after Edney’s 60-foot buzzer-beater beat Mount Vernon on March 3 in the Section 1 championship game. The shot earned Edney national attention. He and Young appeared on several national talk shows to discuss the shot.
Although they were joined, at times, by Clarke, the team’s star, Clarke did not join them during the SportsCenter appearance.
