Ryan Simone played a monster game, Hynes was limited by foul trouble and Pac still had a 10 point lead deep into the 3rd period, Pac was on a flow until Hynes had to be pulled out of the game with 4 fouls and then when Hynes fouled out NR turned up the press and Pac had a hard time with it. I watched the MV vs. North Rockland game and it appears to me that MV will be very hard to beat. I thought Pac did a good job keeping Clarke at bay. It was a good year with a disappointing ending at the County Center for Pac players who showed much heart after a tough start to the season. Ray Rice was at court side and he is a goog guy, he showed took pictures with the kids, parents and cheerleaders, he could not have been any nicer to the fans – Ray is a class act.

Saw Mahopac vs stepinac at the slam and they could not handle ball pressure. I had not seen them since, but they have been beating up on teams so I thought maybe problem solved. Same problem . 3 times they got 5 second calls. 1 ten second call. Turnover after turnover. Only difference between the 2 games was stepinac has a much better offense. New ro has 1 player to guard, the rest of the team struggled. The 5th foul on Hynes was a horrible. Charge on a spin move?

Any word on Edney status for the final.. need him there vs Mt Vernon I think

Sad ending for PAC tonight. Unfortunately, the refs determined the outcome of the game tonight, not the players. Three charges called on Hynes….BS! He didn’t have that many the entire season. PAC lost focus when Hynes fouled out. Congrats PAC on a great season. Looking forward to watching Hynes play some lax now and seeing if his baby bro can give him a run for his money! Good luck to NewRo and MV. Ray Rice is a gentleman. Gave all the kids his time and was very pleasant.

Forgot to mention Ryan Simone….great game tonight as well as Anthony Lenahan who rarely gets the credit he deserves.

Agree with both Cuse and Husker. Pac couldn’t handle ball pressure. Once the ball left the point guards hands they were in trouble. paper said 29 turnovers. Credit to new Ro.They did a great job at denying the ball out of bounds and played a great defensive game I tought. Clarke bails them out being able to handle the ball so well. Refs were very bad. Seemed like they were all competing to make the spectacular call. Charges on hynes were bad. Spin move charge at he end was the worst, but he’s got to pull up there after getting two charges prior. Hard fought game nd the best team won tonight. The question was if mahopac could handle any athletic full court pressure and that question was answered tonight.

Old school – you hit the nail on the head -once NR went to zone press with Hynes out there was no one to help #15 out breaking it.
there wee lilttle to no issue with pt guard having to break man press even with just one main ball handler – Hynes can always help break the press ust becacuse teams are so worried about him. Nice game for #15 and #11 – Hynes being out so much was th kick in the groin for Pack

I agree that Anthony Lenahan did a good job in tough circumstances bringing the ball up court is never easy against a fast team who presses. The calls against Hynes were bad, it almost seemed like the refrees wanted him out of the game.

Failure to box out free throw shooter late was killer as well!
