Good news: Just like last season, me and other members of the LoHud staff will host LIVE in-game chats from the County Center. (Here’s an example from last year’s Class AA championship game.)
Our schedule of LIVE chats will begin with Dobbs Ferry-North Salem on Wednesday afternoon and continue for every game for the remainder of Championship Week. They have been a success in the past. It’s a much better, more comprehensive way to provide updates than on Twitter (although we will have those, too, @LoHudInsider).
For the uninitiated, the LIVE chats allow you ask me or another reporter questions in real time, as the game unfolds. If you’re wondering if someone has foul trouble? Ask away. Wonder how many points Player A has? Just ask.
The LIVE chats also allow us to post information as it’s happening without being restricted to 140 characters. It’s a win-win for both parties. More info for you, less hassle for us.
I’ll have more particulars throughout the week about the LIVE chats and the rest of our coverage plans, which will be extensive. It all starts Sunday with our Championship Week forecast and team-by-team profiles for all 20 semifinalists. I also have a story set to drop Monday about Eastchester’s long, 39-year (not 42) road back to the County Center.
And you know Dan and I will offer plenty more in terms of predictions and analysis in the coming days, so keep your eyes glued here for more…

Pok better hope they survive Daly and Co. We all know that if you breathe on Daly he is at the line. Eastchester 56 Pok 50
Sec 1 Hoops
While I think that star players historically get the benefit of the whistle in Section 1 once you earn your ‘rep’ , part of Daly’s prowess getting to the line is his herky jerky style and ability to get to the hole. He is aggressive and has a rock solid handle. He creates the contact and has earned his reputation.
That said, i don’t think it will matter against POK, they have multiple hard nosed defenders who can stay in front of him and force him to kick before contact,
I’d be curious to know how many times he got to the line in the first game and how many points he had ?.
Make no mistake the kid can play with POK and wont back down, I just don’t think they have enough to keep up with a very good POK team that appears to be on a mission.. Pok 65 – 54
OLDHEADHOOPS,
I AGREE POK BEAT EASTCHESTER 2 TIMES IN EASTCHESTER IN THE LAST 2 YEARS,POK SHALL PREVAIL AGAIN ON THE BIG STAGE
