We’ve brought you a few added features this week as part of our playoff preview. The tournament really doesn’t hit its stride until tomorrow, so there’s still plenty to discuss before then. I’ll talk about it tonight, LIVE, at 9:30, with the latest Varsity Insider Chat.
It’ll start a bit later than normal, but you’ll still have an opportunity to have your questions answered and your comments published LIVE right here on the blog.
I’ll be your moderator passing through the questions. I expect a high volume, so please jump in early if you want to be heard.
Join me tonight at 9:30 and will have some fun breaking down the postseason.

Josh,
A couple of things…First thanks so much for your hard work. It is wonderful and the live chat is tremendous…Second, some schools that have been great in recent years just dont seem to have it this year, i.e. new ro, south,wp.I give the nod to lesser discussed schools like scarsdale, nyack, and north this year in those areas…speaking of those teams, didnt scarsdale and north matchup last year in a close game won by north? Should be a good one, Hewitt is a monster and north can be outright great some nights.
hshoops… Fair point, although I think the teams you mentioned are pretty even with the others. It’s just that traditionally New Ro and White Plains are in an upper echelon, although White Plains hasn’t been at that level for a few years now. New Ro wasn’t great last season, but was excellent the two before that.
Anyway, North did beat Scarsdale in an outbracket game last season. Scarsdale is much improved this year because everyone is back and healthy, but North has improved, too. Both had losing records in 2011-12. Both were winners this season.
I personally think Hewitt can be the difference maker. North is not the biggest team around and Hewitt is one of the section’s top big men.
Josh,
I agree with Hewitt being dominant…Also, I heard that North has multiple players suspended due to an incident during their final game agains SV. Any word on this?
