With the biggest annual stretch on the high school sports calendar upon us, Dan and I decided to go in a different direction with the preview.
We got together today for the first Varsity Insider Podcast, a feature we hope will stick here – and perhaps expand in the near future. Dan and I discussed a bunch of topics, including the following:
– A preview of the Class AA, A and B brackets, including: our final four predictions; MVPs; players who could make a difference; best first-round games; and upset specials. – What make John Decker’s 59-point game so special – Our thoughts on Eric Paschall winning “Mr. Basketball” – Players we considered first-team snubsWe also debuted a new feature that we’d like to continue. We picked a couple good questions that were passed my way on Twitter and answered them. Both provide some pretty good insight into how we view the tournaments.
Give it a listen and let us know what you think. As I said above, we hope to add some new features in the future. (And sorry about my voice. I’m just getting over a cold.)

Great Prediction but one area one disagree on Pac brings home its first Gold Ball Ever. The Giant will be slayed this year!

Gotta agree with perdition on Pac – Vaccaro/Lenahan 2012 much better combo than Lenahan/Tully 2013.

Embarrased???..are you high ?..we led by double didgets for 3/4 of that game …shame on us giving it to you !..but it all worked out in the end ..we get to embarrass you in front of your fans ….also with that weak schedule ..the only hard teams you played you lost to ….are boys can’t wait ..wishing for this game more the any other ….bring your big boy pants !!

PAC has been waiting for another shot at Arlington since that fluke of a loss to open the season! Should be a great game though Arlingtons guards play great D!
We are just not hynes anymore…they can stop him if they want to go that route . But then we put 6’8” vitkus down low with the 6’5” Simone brothers ..what are the gonna do then …they collapse ..hynes goes off ..vitkus is leapsand bounds better then that first game
AND since that fist game we’ve played against way better guards. .stepinac..Kingston..st Mary’s..peekskill..white plains . ..and remember what we have done with Decker the last 3 games we played him (0-7-11pts)..we can play D too
