Also, Nyack will honor former coach Gary Gray during today’s game against Pearl River. Gray won 432 games with the Indians, which ranks second in Rockland County history. He is one of only nine local boys basketball coaches in the 400 club.

MV’s bench is too deep for Wp. Coach C plays with his whole bench vs Wp who plays with 7. Mv starters definitely played in both the first and the 2nd half. Both teams played tough and hard . Demello played the entire game with no break, that’s why scoring slowed down 2nd half. There is no taking away from the fact that he can play. MV has a full team of tough athletes and the tempo they bring to the court doesn’t let up the entire game. That makes it hard for any team to keep up with them.

Wood answered in other thread. Yes that is my bro. Honestly he could have scored more in other games. There were many times he had 30+ points at half time and wasn’t allowed to play too much in the second half.
I was hoping to see another gear tonight, but it never showed it’s head. DeMello silenced the critics tonight in my opinion, he is a tuff scrappy kid who went toe to toe with Josh. Pretty sure he scored WP’s first 10 points. Both teams very impressive from the line, and MV’s depth once again prevailed.
55 plus fouls called is too much, the quality of officiating in Section 1 is getting ridiculous.

I think DeMello made a nice statement yesterday after a tough first game. Not easy scoring 24 against MV’s D when he doesn’t have much help.

Thanks Hoops! He was a very good ball player. He was 6 5 with guard skills. Chose the route of baseball instead. We were a battery in summer ball at times.
