Spring Valley posts their 10th straight win, this one coming in a 65-42 win over Ossining. Kai Mitchell had a big night (18 points, 13 rebounds). It’s amazing to me that one of the most consistent teams in the section this year relies so heavily on sophomores.
Stepinac fell to St. Raymond for their fourth loss of the season. The Crusaders seemed to have turned things around after their loss to Mount St. Michael two weeks ago. Just goes to show how much parity there is in the CHSAA.
Josh will be back later with a recap of Byram Hills’ 56-46 win over Pleasantville.

GREAT WIN FOR PANAS,IF THE SUPPORT FROM LYLLE R. KEEPS UP,IT WILL TAKE ALL THE PRESSURE OFF TIMMY AND VAUGHN.THIS PANAS TEAM IS GROWING WEEK BY WEEK,AND DON’T BE SURPRISED IF PANAS PULLS OFF ANOTHER “SHOCKER”DOWN THE ROAD
Spring Valley native Tavon Sledge at 13pts (6-8 fg) and 10 assists (only 1 to) in Iona’s 90-71 win over St. Peters last night. This was probably his best game to date as a Gael.
Looks like St.Rays rebuilt pretty quickly..
just laying out the bait
Brown could be the key to how far Peekskill goes.. kids insanely athletic and at 6’3 can play at the rim but also has range. Early in the season he seemed to be pressing but if he plays his game it gives them yet another weapon
Lefty… Panzanaro mentioned exactly the same thing to me at the Slam Dunk. You’re right on.
St Rays has been on fire lately.
I coached against sledge in a the Cyo County Championship when he was in 8th grade. He was stud back then. His success does not suprise me.
Stepinac playing horrible lately, starting five should be changed to Thomas, Bernstein, King, Miller, and James. Make other teams have mismatches if they have bigs.
