Forty local local athletes were honored by the New York State Sportswriters Association on the 2012 Class AA and A all-state football teams.
Class AA state champions New Rochelle led the way with six selections, including two first team picks in Khalil Edney (pictured above) and Joe Clarke.
Iona Prep and Somers each had five all-state picks. Nine local players were named to the Class AA or A first team.

Though last week in nfl, I think one team lost 3rd down conversions and still won. It was still close… Just a few % points…
