It seems like the season has been well-stocked with buzzer beaters. Tonight, we had another, as Ardsley was stunned by Sleepy on an overtime tip-in by Manny Velazquez.

Nice win for Harrison. Esposito was out for a while and if he can take the load off Lefkowitz, may make them a team to watch.
JT can you offer any explanation as to how the leagues are formed. I notice a lot of leagues with AA teams playing A’s or B’s. (Class A Somers in league with AA Carmel and Mahopac, AA Fox Lane and Greeley with A Harrison and Byram Hills, etc) Realize a lot is geography and some are out of conference games
Are the results weighted up and down based on size of school for sectional qualifiers and seedings ?
Thanks
I guess the Pac’s size kept Umar at bay? No small task there.
Old Head,
All teams get 4 points for wins regardless of class. No weights there. Teams get bonus points for teams they played that have a .750 and .500 % regardless of a win or loss.
System has a few quirks but it seems to be fair for all.
Yea even the league around here is geographic. Ketcham, John Jay, and Arlington are all AA schools while Poughkeepsie and Beacon are A schools and Lourdes is a B this year. They used to have the system where you got bonus points for playing a bigger school. Then I guess they realized sometimes the bigger schools are not so good lol.
It’s a good system they have now. Much better than the BCS…
Anyone got a score for the Braircliff/Croton Harmon game?
Statesman, Umar plays with s lot if the Pac’s kids in the off season..good player but has trouble with kids his size or bigger . Us going more to zone has helped on defense..but its all about turnovers with this team ..when they are low were tough but when we get into the 20’s its hard ..we will be around in the end I believe..good bench last night
Bawler,
Noted. I think if you kept the TO’s at bay you would have had enough to beat Kingston after that final flurry.
And we should’ve pressed more ..that’s how we got back in it . Against WP when demello was in foul trouble we could have blown it open if we pressed ..that game shouldn’t have been that close …pok over Arlington by 10
Bawler,
Indeed, the press had Kingston frantic and rushing their offense. 3 times they actually broke it and hit some tough 3’s. 2 were highly contested so it’s not a knock on the D at all.
These are good lessons to learn now. Once postseason play rolls about, no one will want to play the Pac in AA. Scary they can wind up a 5 or 6 seed. Very dangerous.
Thanks for the nice projection as well
