Few big games on tap today. Stepinac takes on Cardinal Hayes who handed the Crusaders their only loss of the season earlier this year. Yesterday my colleague Adam Berger spoke with Stepinac senior guard Josh James for a story. When asked about today’s game he had this to say:
“We’re just looking to not lose again. They’re the only team we lost to and we’re going to go into there with a chip on our shoulder and with confidence because it’s home court.”
In another big rematch, undefeated Byram Hills heads to Fox Lane in one of our #GOTW picks. The Bobcats got the best of the Foxes in their first meeting, 64-55.
Across the river North Rockland heads to Clarkstown South in a battle of undefeated teams. A win by either team will solidfy them as the top team in the county. Josh will be there so follow him @LoHudInsider for updates on the game.
Finally, Tappan Zee heads to Albertus Magnus in the one #GOTW pick that Josh and I differed on. Josh sided with the Dutchies while I picked the Falcons. Yesterday we continued or run of mediocrity as we both split, picking New Rochelle (correctly) and Mamaroneck (incorrectly).
Hey, at least we don’t do this for a living.
Oh wait…
As usual, keep it locked here at night to see the roundups. Also, follow me @LoHud_DeFran for score updates as we get them.

Arlington beats OLL in the rematch. That 30 pt win by OLL is a longtime ago now! Now onto Brewster tomorrow for a big W and then we go up against Poughkeepsie. Sorry all but I saw Poughkeepsie and they are not that good! No chance of beating us at home. We have the best team this year!!!
Glad to see Byrum won again. Anyone know when they play a top tier school? Weak schedule.
