Friday’s recap: Children’s Village wins its tournament

Here are tonight’s roundups:

Children’s Village 57, Green Meadow 39: In the championship game of the Hawks’ Tip Off Tournament at Children’s Village, Andre Jones scored 19 points. Kareem Padgett added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Roger Owens added nine points and 16 rebounds. Taylor Miccio scored 12 points for Green Meadow.

Lakeland 72, Greenburgh Academy 45: In the first round of the Carolyn Conroy Memorial tournament at Lakeland, Stephen Harten had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tom Harten added 11 points and eight rebounds. Lakeland will play the winner of Arlington/Mahopac in the championship game Saturday at 6 p.m. Greenburgh Academy will play in the consolation game at 2 p.m.

Tuxedo 42, Hamilton 36: In the first round of the Keio Tournament at Keio, Craig Brawn scored 13 points and Albert Franco scored nine. Hamilton will play in the tournament consolation game at 3 p.m. Saturday. Tuxedo will play in the final at 5 p.m.

Hawthorne Cedar Knolls 54, Hallen School 48: In the consolation game of the Hawks’ Tip Off Tournament at Children’s Village, Bokeem Jones had 17 points. Elijah Neal added eight points.

Edgemont 63, Tuckahoe 40: In the first round of the Harrison Booster Club tournament, Paul Emdin scored 25 points and Ram Chadha added 23 points. Nick Reisman scored 12 points for the Tigers. Tuckahoe will play in the consolation game Saturday at 1 p.m. Edgemont will play in the final at 5 p.m.

Rye Neck 56, Hen Hud 50: In the consolation game of the Jack McGuire Memorial tournament at Hen Hud, Matt Franks and Chris Pennell both had 16 points. Ryan Aquilino had 13 points. Kyle Monk had 27 points for Hen Hud.

NYMA 65, Harvey 40: At Harvey, Jesse Zubren had 11 points and nine rebounds for Harvey. Eamon Murphy had 10 points and eight rebounds. Rickey Hicks had nine points and five assists.

Fieldston 78, Haldane 47: In the first round of the Briarcliff Booster Club Tournament, Stephen Valys had 12 points. Ryan Koval added nine. The Blue Devils play the loser of Clark Academy/Briarcliff in the consolation game Saturday at 3 p.m.

Sacred Heart 62, Fort Hamilton 42: In the first round of the Monsignor McClancy tournament in Queens, Arjon Bequiri scored 19 points. John Gause added 17 points and 11 rebounds. Sacred Heart will play in the semifinals Saturday at 6 p.m. at Monsignor McClancy High School.

Carmel 41, Yorktown 39: At Yorktown, RJ Martinez scored 13 points and Dan Benkhen added 12. Anthony Coutsouros and Ricky Corrado scored 10 points each for the Huskers.

Rye 53, Blind Brook 42: In the first round of the Cliff Clinton Classic tournament at Rye, Mike O’Neill had 17 points. Max Twyman had 12 points and eight rebounds. Sam Adler had 13 points for the Trojans. Blind Brook will play Kennedy in the consolation game Saturday at 2 p.m. and Rye will play Pleasantville in the championship game at 4 p.m.

Harrison 56, Port Chester 55: In the first round of the Harrison Booster Club tournament, Nick Pipitone’s free-throw with 16 seconds left in the fourth quarter gave the Huskies the lead and clinched a spot in the tournament final against Edgemont Saturday at 5 p.m. Coby Lefkowitz scored 19 points and Zac Evans scored 13 points. Tim Brown scored 22 points for the Rams. Port Chester will play Tuckahoe in the tournament consolation game at 1 p.m.

Palisade Prep 58, Keio 44: In the first round of the Keio tournament, Fred Truss Jr. scored 16 points and Issiah Ward scored 14. Fumiaki Kobayashi scored 18 points for the Unicorns. Keio will play Hamilton in the tournament consolation game Saturday at 3 p.m. Palisade Prep will play Tuxedo for the tournament title at 5 p.m.

Nanuet 46, Valhalla 44: In the final of the Jack McGuire Memorial tournament at Hen Hud, Mike Mulligan had 16 points. Shawn Celestin added nine points. Joseph Lovecchio and Terrance Tribble each had 12 points for the Vikings. Mulligan was named tournament MVP. Celestin, Lovecchio and Tribble were named to the all-tournament team.

Albertus Magnus 68, Clarkstown North 56: At Albertus Magnus, Jack Sullivan had 20 points. Tom McConnell had 15 points. Zac Jarrett had 23 points for the Rams.

Rye Country Day 55, Loyola 48: In the first round of the Horace Mann tournament, Tyler Fernandez had 25 points. Rye Country Day will play Horace Mann Saturday at 6:15 p.m. in the championship game.
