Hey Josh – Any way we can get a list of games each day? That used to be regular practice – and is an awesome reminder of what’s on tap. Just a thought.
Nice win tonight for Valhalla, Terrance Tribble had a monster game, it seemed like Peace got every rebound in the 2nd half.GO VIKINGS
Daly had 43, not 46.
Josh, is there a girls bball blog this year?
Yes. Same place as always. girlsbasketball.lohudblogs.com
Scott… Will do. I had been holding off until the schedule got busier, but we’ll start tomorrow (Friday) because it’s a busy weekend.
Awesome. Thanks, Josh. Keep up the good work.
In the Stepinac JV Game, Sophomore Guard Kylan Guerra scored 31 points in a tough 3 point loss to Fordham Prep’s JV squad.
How could you possibly ascertain that John Decker was “not to be outdone” by Daly in Somers’ matchup vs. Eastchester? Not only was Somers beaten, the superior JD posted 15 more points than Decker’s 31. So, effectively, he was 100% outdone in both the stat sheet and the W-L column.

Ok thanks. I wasn’t sure because I didn’t see a link off the sports page
If Fordham beat Stepinac’s JV, and Fordham could only score 26 points at the varsity level in a 32 minute game, maybe we should put replace Fordham’s varsity with its JV? I believe the best sophomore PG in the area is on Fordham’s JV outside of Clarkstown’s McGuiness.
Steve Herman should be the varsity coach at Fordham Prep..Holy Cross is going to be tough on tuesday on all 3 levels on tuesday
I know I may sound biased as a Stepinac Alum, but Kylan Guerra wore out every Guard that Fordham Prep threw at him. He’s the best Sophomore PG I’ve seen in the area.
@ fan,
Best soph pg in area is Tom Capuano Iona Prep
Nice to see the future is bright in Westchester. Got to see a few games so far and the Guard play is bananas. I saw Capuano play, and he’s definitely at the top of the PG class of 2015. But, there are a few others to watch. Guerra at Stepinac, Salahudin at Mt. Vernon and Jerome at Iona Prep are all gonna be good too.
Both Iona Guards are good, but both are reclassifications. In grammar school, Capuano reclassified into the class of 2015, and Jerome reclassifed into the class of 2016. Just sayin’.
