Mount Vernon scrimmaged Lincoln from Brooklyn yesterday,and tiny m. And Isaiah whitehead got into it,he only played the first quarter,and sat the rest of the way,wow,
Wood i figured as much but hearing it from you confirms it. He has gotten better every year since HS. Also a bright kid who seems to prioritize education.
Were you at the scrimmage? That doesn’t shock me. I have heard rumblings about Whitehead’s attitude. And when you have a coach who is childish, that is bound to happen.

i have been talking about NEWROS DEFENSE, all year ,,,,NOW EVERYONE IS….AND THEIR OFFENSE IS NOT TOO BAD EITHER….THEY SHOULD GO TO THE YANKEE STADIUM AND BEAT UP THE PRIVATE SCHOOL CHAMPS…THAN OFF TO JERSEY VS. DON BOSCO TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THEM….............. THAN TO THE JETS ,, EASY GAME…...... EVERYBODY CAN BEAT THEM

It was quite a sight seeing the new ro nation and new ro players come together to count down the final seconds to their state championship last night, awesome moment. It was said all week that New Rochelle needed to put up an almost perfect game to dethrone the defending champs, and last night, they did just that. In my opinion this 2012 state championship team has every right to rival the new ro teams of 2003-04 in debates of which new ro team was the best. This 2012 team may not have been as flashy as the 2003, 2004 teams, but what this defense had from start to finish this year will be very hard to be duplicated. Many new ro teams in years passed have put up a collection of shut outs during the season but that was BEFORE the piner system. Almost every week, from week 1 till last night New Rochelle played a playoff worthy opponent, ( minus off years for white plains and Arlington.) They were simply remarkable. And after the mahopac game, this offense came together and produced a fine well oiled machine, that no team could even compete with, ( minus shaker in the 2nd half). If you look at the weapons this years team had as opposed to the 03, 04 teams, you might even say ‘12 had more. Forest, W. Holden, T. Holden, Ganley, Clarke, Cenus, Encarnacion, Douglass, Forbes, and of course Edney. My instinct is to say that it’ll be hard to duplicate a team as close to perfect as that team was again, but then again im sure many of us said the same thing at the end of the 04 season as well. Congratulations New Rochelle, paint the city purple !
