According to the Syracuse Post Standard, former Peekskill star Mookie Jones released a statement directed to Syracuse fans. In it, he said he signed with an agent and hopes to play professionally in Canada. He confirmed that his time at Syracuse is over.

you were handed a 240k gift to play basketball in a full scholarship, you never took advantage of it. Coach B bent over backwards for you to try and make it work and you still did not take advantage of it. You were one step before the walk ons in game time. What in the world makes anyone think you are mentaly strong enough to play pro ball?
