Hudson Valley’s basketball team for the BCANY Summer Hoops Festival was cut to 21 players on Thursday night. The remaining group will return for three days of mini-camp from June 27-29 at Croton-Harmon High School. Players are required to attend all three nights. The sessions run from 6-8:30 p.m. There is the possibility of an additional practice or tryout, but it hasn’t been scheduled.

The fact that Danny behnken from Carmel didn’t get recognition for this is unbelievable. He’s one of the best players in section 1 and hopefully you start realizing it soon.

Some of these kids should not be considered to compete based on character alone. I won’t post names, but I think you can tell who by just looking at the list.
I can think of ONE kid on that list who has a history of shady character but he is still a kid, and should be given a pass, you don’t want to give up on our young ones so easy.
Where are the kids from Poughkepsie, Beacon, Arlington? I can think of at least 4 or 5 that should have been on the list. Rodriguez – Arlington, Dancy – Pok, Lawrence – Pok and Smith – Beacon. Once again a Section 1 team that does not represent the section.
There are no kids from Rockland either?
Degnan is from PR. Neither letizia nor Sullivan showed up. Nor anyone else from Rockland. The Pok kids didn’t show up either. You have to tryout to make the team. I will admit the communication is awful.
Then they should make a putnam/dutchess team and keep westchester on their own little island.
who do y’all think should be the starting 5 and the 6th man?
The two coaches associations are in charge of spreading the word, which is Brian Laffin for the dutchess coaches and Anthony Nicodemo for westchester. I also understand Kevin Devaney and Josh Thompson helped with publicity. AAU nationals are coming up, team camps, lots of opportunities for the boys.
Where are kids from Clarkstown South? They won the Fordham camp. They were the best team at West Point Camp. Where are the CS players on this team?
No Golden from Byram Hills? What a shame, Lynch and him are two of the top rising seniors
