New Rochelle High School will host the first Tri-State Quarterback Showdown on Sunday, June 3 at 12 p.m. in accordance with MSG Varsity. The field includes five local quarterbacks: New Rochelle’s Khalid Edney, Iona Prep’s Mario Biaggi, John Jay’s Tyler Keech, Stepinac’s Dan Hoffer and Ketcham’s Kevin Duke.
The event is hosted by Giants great Phil Simms. The former QB will judge the competition along with another former Giant, Amani Toomer, and current Jets quarterback Greg McElroy.
Including the five local players involved in the competition, the Showdown will feature 25 of the best quarterbacks from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. They will be graded in a number of categories, including arm strength and accuracy, and players will be eliminated from the competition as it progresses.
