I recently reported that Westlake’s Tommy Hopkins had received his first Division I offer from Bucknell. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound lineman picked up his first offer from a BCS-level school on Friday.
Hopkins earned a scholarship offer from UConn, which is one of several high-major programs that has shown interest in the two-way tackle since last spring. Boston College, Syracuse, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia and NC State are among other potential suitors.
Hopkins attended the U.S. Army National Combine in Texas back in January. He is expected to attend several Division I camps later this spring and summer.

Anyone know where Evans is going to prep? I think Mark White is going to Trinity Pawling.
Haywood, the real question is why josh allows it to go on… Because it just will get ugly as usual and it is always the same people involved . Josh knows who it is and yet he sits back and lets new ro players and parents get attacked.. Everything else josh has handled well. I will even throw in the Stepinac stuff. But when it comes to New ro players and parents being attacked, he always let’s the culprits back on here..
Just a fact!

Prince, GREAT TAPE!
I really finding tough to figure out what position he is best at.
On O, not that he had great moves, but he read the holes, low to the ground and man does he play not to go down. Great determination when ball is in his hands. Very good feet with good speed.Very athletic when guys are trying to bring him down as well. Impressive.
Defense, he does not have tape showing him as a cover corner. It lists him as a Safety. At 6’1” I guess with his athleticism he can play anywhere on D. He reacts to the ball when it is in the air and has great anticipation. You could see he comes up quick on run even from his back peddle. Brings some lumber when he hits. I am sure safety will be his position.
Fun to see the guys who will be on TV in a year or two and see what they were like at HS level. This kid got lots and lots of SKILLZ!!
What do you see?
Prince, and BTW, LOLOL!!!
JUST
STRAIGHT FREE SAFETY AND BIG TIME!!.. GREAT HIPS, GREAT CHANGE OF DIRECTION, VERY PHYSICAL, GREAT REACTION, VERY GOOD OPEN FIELD TACKLE!!.. EXPLOSIVE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL!!.... VERY FAST!!
Nice!
Haywood and Hoops Fan, the big tight end is back for Y’town and word is 4 more tall, fast, talented kids are coming up from the JV. The Huskers should be tough and I am looking for a big year from QB Mariano. As for the Lacrosse end, he is already a Verbal to UMASS, however several schools have been VERY interested in him as a college QB.
He had a hell of a game last night(5/30/12) to help Yorktown defeat JJCR and win yet another Section One lax title.
Now if we can only get the family to move back to Ossining where they belong!!!!!LOL
