You conveniently ignored this part of my earlier post when I left New Ro out of the argument:

23-0 FROM WHAT I READ!!.. NORTH BERG FUMBLED ON THE 6 GOING IN ( AND IT WAS PICKED UP AND RETURN ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE 25) TO MAKE THE SCORE 14-7 IN THE 3RD QTR !!.. THAT BEING SAID NORTH BERG WAS NOT A BAD TEAM!!.. AND IT ALSO SAID THAT ST . PETERS SCORED ON THE FIRST PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE OF THE SECOND HALF 58 YD TOUCHDOWN RUN!! SO FROM WHAT I CAN SEE NORTH BERG DEFENSE WAS NOT TOO BAD AND WAS PROBABLY BETTER THEN THERE OFFENSE!.. NORTH BERG APPEARS TO ME TO BE A TEAM THAT KNOWN FOR PLAYING GOOD DEFENSE AND THEY PROBABLY HAVE THE SAME PHILOSOPHY AS NEW RO DEFENSE AND FIELD POSITION!!... IMO IT LOOK LIKE THEY STRUGGLE WITH TEAMS THAT ARE VERY BALANCE (RUN AND THROW) AND THAT CAN SCORE FAST AND PLAYS ABOVE AVG DEFENSE!!...

Have explained it to you multiple ways why there is no way that a private school can help the public school I can tell once our public school win in nj that will open the door for more chsfl and public schools!!..but if a private school win that not going to open doors for public schools!!....if new Ro blow them out they’re going to want new Ro to play there much stronger programs!...but if new Ro lose it will be no need if one of ny top 10 programs over the past 5 years cnt be our mid level large enrollment!!... They can forget about competing with teams like piscataway!! A school I said new Ro should play about 3 yrs go!!!

Hoops I will get a scouting report and post it and hoops is 4-3 considered bad in north Begern league. When union, Montclair, St peters , east orange, peddle was 5-4 and they beat poly prep from Brooklyn, Bayonne

Prince, that is some scary stuff right there. Recruiters and Scouts!!! Sick. WHat I find worse is the NY writers bias to NY Public school football. I have seen it on here but even the Great Bobby G, loves the CHSFL. He did not give much respect to JJEF. He saw them trounce Scarsdale. He might be underestimating that team because of the style of play.

If there is no BLING in the O, people tend to down play the team!!!

Hoops fan, no one is saying your trying to dismiss my opinion. What your not understanding is that we don’t have to wait and see how good North Bergen actually is. They could be winless or undefeated or anything in between and New Rochelle still has to win the game, otherwise the NJ “people” will continue to dismiss NY Public football. Also, the game isn’t important to just me, it’s important to all who care about NY football.

Let me put it this way; this is a statement game as far as NY football goes, the BC/St. A’s game is not. St. A’s and the CHSFL don’t need to make a statement, they have already done that by playing, and winning, multiple out of league games. NY Public football has never done that.

You keep using terms like “bigger”, “better”, yes, yes, we get it. The BC/St. A’s game is going to be a bigger better game because of the talent of the teams involved. I think everyone here acknowledges that most years neither North Bergen or New Rochelle could beat either team. That’s not the point. the point is about changing the “perception”, “attitude”, “bias”, whatever you want to call it.

Here’s where I believe you are missing the point. You keep saying that “New Ro has respect, New Ro will be the favorite” and I believe based on what I’ve read you say that you believe Bergen Catholic is the favorite in the BC/St. A’s game. So your thought process (correct me if I am wrong) is that if St. A’s “upsets” Bergen Catholic, it will be a more meaningful event than if North Bergen “upsets” New Rochelle. Here’s where that thought process is flawed. St. Anthony’s wont gain as much respect for that win as New Rochelle will lose for losing. IMO NJ “people” would say, “wow, I knew St. Anthony’s was good, but I didn’t think they were that good.” Where they will say “Geez, New Rochelle lost to North Bergen, I guess NY public football really does stink.” if New Ro loses. Now, turn it around, St. A’s loses, people will say, “Hey, no shame in losing to BC, they are the #2 in NJ”. But if New Rochelle wins, it validates that NY Public football is legit, and that NY teams can play and win vs. NJ Public’s.

Very well thought out post- Lets just say it would great for NY Football if both St. Anthony and New Rochelle wins- If North Bergen comes into the game with a subpar record then New Rochelle would have immense pressure to win that game – Can you imagine what the folks in NJ would say if a 2-4 North Bergen team knocks off a 5-1 New Rochelle team.

As far as St. Anthony Bergen Catholic BC is the favorite- St. Anthony is tough to beat at home- Something has to give- If St. Anthony wins its is a huge game for the CHSFL

Also Iona needs to make a statement against Poly Prep-

My point was ny public get overlooked… By the same people who are suppose to support them??? And most time by guys that never played the game… Point being you never hear coach d come on here and say that jjef team or that north roc team not that good!!!

newro gonna scrimmage tottenville, mt st mike, paramus catholic and st anthonys, dont know where yet.

its two scrimmages. one verse tottenville then another verse the mount, pc and st. a’s.

MV has talent but the problem is they do not have enough overall football depth- They have too many linemen playing both ways which hurts in the long run-

Prince, I think if north Bergen has the coaches they say, with the players.. New ro can’t be one dimensional..though if they were only to throw ball, maybe they can win, edney that good, but not just on the ground.. Defensively I think new ro needs to tone down the aggressiveness. They got plenty of speed but when you are aggressive u get burnt by screens and short passes. Happened JJEF game. But tough for a defense to change their spots.

I like your point about new ro having lack of depth, which puts pressure on the offense to score without long ineffective drives.. Which will hyrt them on D when you are facing an open offense..
