• Westlake’s Tommy Hopkins offered by Bucknell. The junior lineman is already among the most highly-recruited players in his class. He has made unofficial visits to more than 20 schools and has a series of camps scheduled for later this year, including UConn, UMass, Syracuse, Temple and Boston College.
The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder recently picked up his first offer, however, from Bucknell. Hopkins received the offer on Friday. It should be the first of many.
Here are a few recruiting updates on members of the senior class:
• Croton’s Dennis O’Connell to Hobart. The senior DL has committed to Hobart. He had originally committed to
• Westlake’s John D’Onofrio to Ithaca. The senior QB had received some Division I interest before opting for Ithaca, where former Westlake linebacker Will Carter is a captain.
• Stepinac’s Ryan Wasylenko to Springfield. The senior LB chose the school over Utica and Catholic.

Congrats to Dennis on becoming a Statesman
Josh you forgot about McLaughlin to drew for basketball! Smh son!
John Jay Cross River’s point guard, Tommy Weingarten has committed to play basketball at Springfield College next year
FYI- Weingarten has committed to try out for Springfield, they bring in many kids, most of them either don’t make the team or play on the JV, having never seen the young man play I will not pass judgement on him, I do know that he was not an all conference or all section player, they cut two all section players from 2011, so Mr. Weingarten has a tough road ahead of him… good luck
FYI – I was told by his coach that he was injured throughout the season. he was recruited and has committed with a definite spot on JV and high probability of varsity.
GOOD LUCK!!. TO ALL THE PLAYERS!!!
Congratulations to all the hard-working kids mentioned above
Josh,
Have you heard any other info on some of the other areas Junior football players in terms of their recruiting situations other than Hopkins?
