As I mentioned yesterday, The Journal News will release its boys basketball all-star and all-county sections soon. How soon? Sunday, April 15.
They will run two weeks from Sunday and will cap the winter season. The all-stars honor the best players from Westchester and Putnam Counties, combining public, Catholic and private-school players. The all-county team honors the best from Rockland County.
Each team will include a player of the year, coach of the year, first team, second team and honorable mention.
If you missed it yesterday, take a second to cast your vote for and give your thoughts on who should win player of the year in Westchester/Putnam and in Rockland.

I’ll say it again,Isaiah cousins and mike mcahey, they have played against tough competition and still have the skill set to make others better, three people they where considered, sly Williams, billy o’shea,Tyler S.
Haywood getting every last drop out of the hoop season…like it. Did you get the photos I sent you?
Mark my words..if Cousins does not get his game more under control he will be riding the pines down in Okie land and/or transferring as a disenchanted, disgruntled ball player. Jonathan Mitchell didn’t get the PT at Florida and finished his collegiate career respectably at Rutgers. Didn’t seem to fit the mold of the super athletic, highly skilled player for the uptempo Gators.
MVHS65,
I HAVE NOT GONE ON THE COMPUTER,BUT I WILL CHECK TONIGHT,I’M SURE THEY ARE THERE,THANKS.
I BELIEVE THAT IF LEW HILL STAYS ON ISAIAH,IT SHOULD WORK,I AM WAITING TO SEE WHERE RANDY AND JERREL GO,WITHOUT A DOUGHT MV WILL BE TESTED NEXT YEAR,THAT GOLD BALL WILL REALLY BE A CHALLENGE,BUT I THINK WE HAVE ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF THE COUNTY.
