Best of luck to rye country day!
rye country day should definitely be in the b bracket as theyve already beaten the 4,5, and 6 seeds in b and played fieldston tough in only their second game of the year. they should win this bracket easily
They may have beaten the 4, 5, and 6 but they wouldn’t beat the 1….Ray Voelkel and Collegiate are going for their 5th Straight Federation Championship and 6th NYSAIS Class B Championship in the last 7 Years!
bballfan,
Ray Voelkel and Larry Byrnes run a class program over there. Good to see someone else on this blog take notice.
Voelkel runs an excellent program but I think RCD could possibly beat them. RCD beat Hamden Hall during the regular season and lost by 1 in the finals of the FAA. Hamden Hall has 5 seniors (2 of them 6’7+) who will all play in college next year with 2 or 3 on the division 1 level. RCD is small but talented , they have 4 players who can really play. Its easy to penalize them for their size but sometimes skill and intensity can override a height disadvantage. Also RCD beat green farm academy twice who has a 6”9 kid who is being recruited by some high majors. Collegiate while well coached has 2 or 3 players and I feel the game would be close with RCD possibly winning
