Feb. 13: Section 1 seeding meeting, at BOCES
Feb. 15: Class AA and A outbracket round, at higher seed
Feb. 17: Class AA, A and B first-round games, at higher seed
Feb. 21-22: Class AA, A, B and C quarterfinals, at higher seed
Feb. 27-March 4: Championship Week at Westchester County Center — Class AA, A, B, C and D semifinals and championships

lets just say they were beaten as badly as the drum at Jacobs Field. Before you knew what happend it was 24 to 4. They were trying to set up Will inside and he kept turning it over. Forcing pases, missing layup, balls bouncing off their heads, ugly. Whenever MV turned it over, OCP would hit a three. I don’t know what the numbers were but I think they shot 50% from outside the arc. I would not be shocked if they hit 10 trey;s, MV had to have turned the ball over 20 times. Even after my 2nd Vodka I could not believe what I was watching. A very rude awakening. As bad as MV played was as good as OCP played, not sure if that makes sense or not. lol…

Sorry moose but you know I have to play the waaah waaah blues when it comes to the Will Bouton story b/c I got the double dagger in the heart because of that situation…working at Cornwall and growing up in Mount Vernon…
Bouton’s family was from the Cornwall district…...and it was his & I presume his family’s decision that he play at Newburgh. They did not sell their home in the Cornwall district and move to the ‘Burgh, they just set up a residency for him with a relative in the Newburgh district.
It was purely a basketball driven decision and yes, I know, there was nothing illegal about that….and it happens all the time…but still.
Question: And why isn’t Zach playing for the Goldbacks as Will did?
Answer: He’s getting his PT with Coach Howe in Cornwall I suppose.
Hypothetical Question for you jmoose…......What if McLeod or Henderson had a beef with the coach and decided to walk…and then has “an uncle” living in the Cornwall district and transfers in….making Cornwall that much stronger and Newburgh that much weaker…perhaps even being a difference maker down the road in sections & states. How do you imagine you’d feel about that one?
