Good news. Big news tonight at 7 on LoHud.com: This year’s Super 11 will be revealed.
The announcement will come during the first Varsity Insider Chat of the season — a special edition devoted entirely to the Super 11.
Here’s how it will work: I’ll pop on the air at 7 and name the new Super 11, an honor given annually to 11 of the top returning football players in the Lower Hudson Valley. Then, I will take your questions and comments about the new group — who’s on, who’s off, and who deserved to be included.
It’s always extremely difficult narrowing the list to 11. Weighing over preseason notes and quotes, we could very easily honor two or three times as many. But I guess that’s why it’s the Super 11.

Prince, great point. The one thing that could hurt, besides Connolly, no other QB has an offer to play some where. I do think Super 11 should be based off prior year Stats(#1 factor IMO), awards, anticipation for this year and recruiting. These QB’s are lacking in the recruiting area it seems. But getting a scholarship to play QB is very very difficult especially from NY. So that would be the one position where there could be some leeway. My next guy would be Garrant if I had to choose, but I usually favor RB’s. There should have been at least two QB’s. I am thinking Maneiro probably had the second strongest argument after Ciero. He had the Stats and his team won the Section over Donofrio last year.

i dn’t know if offers should be considered!!... one coach can be better at promoting his players!!.... so that can effect that situation but i think stats and on the field play should be at the top
