I’m literally on the plane to Palermo, but here’s some quick news: Stepinac junior PG has received two more scholarship offers from Manhattan and Stony Brook.
James is down in Orlando at AAU Nationals playing for the Gauchos. His team just lost this afternoon in the semifinals.
James just learned of the offers after the game. Manhattan and Stony Brook join St. Peter’s, which offered earlier this summer.
The 6-foot Greenburgh native started as a sophomore for Stepinac, which reached the CHSAA A semifinals. He is the first junior in the area to be offered a basketball scholarship.

Congrats to James! A great player. It will be interesting to see his development. The freshman they brought in last year will also be good off the bench, Naim Thomas. Hope he gets the plying time to develop as well.
Josh, I don’t know about college offers but I do know that you will have a great time with Frank, Lu and Phyllis and will love Taormina.
Congrats to Josh. Not only is he a good player/kid but a solid student. The crusaders will be a much better team next year. Looking forward to watching them play in the chsaa “aa.”
