According to White Plains coach Skip Stevens, senior Odaine Franklin received his first scholarship offer from the University of Akron.
Stevens said Akron has recruited the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Franklin as a linebacker. Franklin played wide receiver and safety last season for the Tigers.
Franklin is also scheduled to attend camp at UConn on Wednesday. Interestinly, the Huskies have recruited Franklin as a fullback, but Stevens told me Franklin had played fullback/tailback coming up until he moved to receiver as a sophomore.
Stevens expects Franklin to play some of everything as a senior this fall. He’ll primarily serve as a hybrid linebacker/defensive end but will also play some receiver, tight end and running back on offense.

Lil pel
How do you feel about stallworth position on my list?????
Class A champ…......lol not Shawn that played for roose!!!...
PPR im not sure maybe if parkinson played at new ro hed get the ball like that
I really need to see Stallworth in person, he sounds like a nice player..
Lil Pelham- – let me know when is your next scrimmage, i will come and root for you
I still havent seen or heard anything lately on my Huskies. Maybe no news is good news
Just & Purp,
Wolf will most likely play end on the next level. He would be playing end now if his team had more depth, but because of numbers and I believe Parkers injury last fall he had to play backer. Honestly it was smart for them to play him at the mike because he can just read, react and attack, whereas playing outside requires a lot of responsibilities. He is definitely capable, but he is a true defensive end. He has a nice frame and can see him putting on at least another 25 pounds of muscle while in college. He may even grow some more considering his younger twin brothers are both around 6’7”/6’8” and they just finished their freshman year. In addition, on offense he just cleared guys out as a lineman. He has pretty good quickness and agility which is evident with how good he is in the shot, discus and hammer, and if he works on his 1st step burst and explosion he can be really special. He’s definitely got to be a a Super 11 selectee.
Prince or lil Pelham,
Do you have a link to Stallworths highlight tape?
Class A Champs 10K, what happened to husky 10K?
I like the new name, though the old is legendary!!
here is Stallworth:

Really looks good at RB!!!
Stallworth is a tough kid, I have a feeling he will have a big day Week 1 against Sleep Hollow. I feel a scoring frenzy in that game
JAF – I like to show different schemes
is husky class a champs? prince, he broke a blogging commandment!
pelham is going to the camp at new ro the 1st week in august the whole will be there. thats why pelham wasnt at white plains. in hs football, i think no news is bad news cause it means no1 doing anything good.
prince, i guess it better that you put him at wr cause thats his #1 position
Lil Pelham—You ever hear of silent but deadly? I kindve dig what Harrison is doing. They are hanging back, doing there practices amongst themselves. They are not exposing themselves to the whole Section. Are they are still basking the moment. hehe
I came down to Harrison High Field and the visitors side stands are up. They are just like New Ro visitors stands and they look great!! It will be interesting to see where the Rye game will be at, High School or Feeley? If the school board opens up the bottom field for parking then it will be a nice tailgating spot
Lil Pelham – - also look what happened to L.j., he got hurt against Mount Vernon on Wednesday, a sprained ankle. Could this be a injury that could haunt him the whole season?
Sleepy Hollow has been scrimmaging some big powerhouse teams and they were impressive, but it can take a tool on the players. Remember, you are out to win a Section title or State Championship, not to impress people in June or July
Class A Champs “heir to Big Joe Thrown” 10K,
I agree as well when it comes to too much practicing, camps/etc.. that is how injuries occur. I think when you are in your mid teens, you think you have unlimited hits in your body and that is just not the case. And dont let cut in on Coaches because they just do not seem to care. Only so many hits in your body and injuries WILL happen, just a matter of when.
Glorious good post. Scary thought the kid might get taller. He might be a Left O-tackle if that happens. Assuming he stays around 6’4” definite D-End in his future. Who knows have not seen his offense but maybe at center or guard he might make the pro’s.
class a champs 2010, ive heard of “silent but deadly” but not when talking about football. something good usually comes out. i understand what your talking about with injuries but theres a major difference between tweeking an ankle and having a legit sprane. injuries are part of football. you dont wanna over work in the off season but you gotta do stuff. i doubt any1 in section will get hurt bad enough in the offseason that it effects septembers nights
