At this month’s National Underclassmen Combine in Paramus, N.J., Everett ran an absolutely blazing 4.4-flat in the 40-yard dash. You can see the complete results here. They include a number of other local players from White Plains, Stepinac, Mount St. Michael and more.
To put this into perspective, Everett was one of only two juniors at the combine to run under 4.5 and one of only four to run under 4.6.
Everett’s athleticism had already turned him into a big play threat last season, as evidenced by his 66-yard touchdown run in the Class AA quarterfinals against Yorktown. Currently 5-foot-11 1/2 and 154 pounds, the speedster certainly isn’t the biggest skill position player returning to local football fields in September. That said, he is undoubtedly the fastest — and one of the fastest players in the Lower Hudson Valley in the last decade. He should be exciting to watch this fall.
