I know a number of readers here are interested, so here’s a quick update on Jordan Lucas (left): New Rochelle coach Lou DiRienzo just confirmed that Lucas will play at Worcester Academy, a prep school in Worcester, Mass.
As a running back, safety and kick returner, Lucas led the Huguenots to a fifth straight Class AA championship. He was named Super 11 in the preseason and named first-team all-state by the New York State Sportswriters in the postseason.
Lucas earned most outstanding back honors after New Rochelle’s 23-7 victory over Mahopac in the Section 1 final. He rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns, caught three passes for 35 yards and returned a punt 60 yards and had an interception and a fumble recovery on defense.
DiRienzo also said all-section QB Khaliq Butts and all-state LB Bubby Manns have committed to Nassau Community College. RB Capri Corn is still undecided.

Why no Corner back? I think if it is between RB and Safety, he will end up being recruited for RB if given enough reps. Can catch out of the backfield, very good speed and quickness, a REAL threat!!

They will learn that he is a corner and put him there!! And he will get a couple of d1 offers!!!

Prince, I know you like Lucas as a D-1 Corner. Where do you think his talent is at RB? D-1AA, D-2 or D-3?
Corn is/was going to Utica, D-3 , for RB I believe. Though according to Josh post, it might look like he has changed his mind on Utica. So how far you think Lucas would get if he wanted to play RB?

i think lucas would have to bulk up some more in his lower body to play 1aa but i think he has the talent to play rb on every level it’s a matter of his frame handling the beating!! i think the talent is ther and the ability it’s a matter of durability!!!... he also can play slot he need too work on his hands more!... lucas football iq and talent allows him too play just about every skill position on both sides of the ball and yes j/a/f….. he could have played qb from the spread this year and did very well!!!!

Prince, I think Corn should be considered one of the top 5 steals in Section 1 when comparing talent to which college they will attend. I think he is going to do very well!
