There are at least 3 players on the fourth team, better than Matt townsend
haywood-
crazy that u say that because townsend is better than torres and gause…
just cause they did get upset and u didnt see him at the cc doesnt mean hes not as good as the hype
most dominant player in section 1
also, ive seen dingle and him and townsend are about equal in my eyes, very similar skill sets
Haywood… Although I don’t necessarily agree with bball, I don’t agree with what you wrote either. Townsend was an excellent player as a senior and he’s committed to Yale. He deserved to be honored — and pretty highly on the list.
Josh –
This question is slighty off topic but I’m wondering if you know the answer.
If a basketball player signs with a Junior College (JUCO), must that player stay for two years at the JUCO or would the player be eligible to transfer to play ball at a Division 1 program after just one year at a JUCO – provided they meet the academic criteria of the Division 1 school.
Coach Reeves… I believe that is true but I’m not sure. Sorry.
If he is that good, maybe he should’ve gone to Princeton,he would’ve had a better chance at making the ncaa tornament and gotten about the same education. Good luck,he should be dominate at Yale
bball,
Dingle and Townsend are COMPLETELY different players sorry. Dingle is very athletic/quick can will be a 3 on the next level – Dingle also has been offered by numerous major college programs. Townsend was a heckuva player at Greeley on that competition level and he would’ve done well even playing at a better level, but he not the same kind of player as Dingle.
congradulation to all selected.does anybody know where aguliar is going to college?also whats happening with div. A AND AA in CHSAA basketball?is mount moving up?A LOT OF QUESTIONS for today.
no way malik gill 11th team and frankie kelly 3rd, thats crazy!
townsend is ivy league – dingle is big east recruit – facts. they are on 2 different levels
Listen – I’ve enjoyed watching Townsend’s career and I think he’s great. But he was a beast against garbage competition.
And better than Dingle?? C’mon. Dingle will be at the likes of Pitt, Nova, St. John’s – maybe even an ACC school – next year.
I actually think Torres and Townsend have similar outlooks – undersized rebounding beasts that will have good careers.
I think Gause has NEC player of the year potential – just saying.
Coach – JUCOs can leave after year 1.
We will see who’s got game at the Williams Classic on June 2.
If Gause, Torres, Dingle, Townsend and others are there then we can judge for ourselves.
showtime:
that game means nothing, it will be worse then watching a bad aau game where noone plays defense.
scott:
if a kid goes juco he must finish the 2yrs i.e. hardy / brownlee from st. john’s.
JUCO’s can leave after year 1 – but would have to sit out a year as a transfer – but can enroll after year 1 – to clarify.
huh? that is an absolutely ridiculous statement about the williams game!
true ballers show their skills no matter if its their hs squad, aau squad, all star team etc etc.
i look forward to seeing a great game with great matchups.
Congrats to Jason feuer for being selected all state
Jalen LaCourt sleeper in Class B
what is the williams game ? can anyone answer that
With regards to Matt Townsend, the reason he wasn’t receiving offers from other schools was because his heart was set on Yale from the start. They were the first program in on him, and thus he felt like they wanted him the most. I’m sure a bunch of coaches are kicking themselves now after seeing the type of year he had. And if his play in AAU counts for anything, the it only supports the fact that he’s a great player who goes hard every game, all the time. He definitely deserved to be on the third team, if not the second, and its not his fault he was playing the second half of the season on TWO bad knees. I know for a fact he had injuries to both knees. One suffered a minor ligament tear, and I believe the other had a strain or minor tear as well. Don’t question him Haywood. I’d like to see what Jabarie could do on two bad knees.
