The exceptional senior all-star game will be held a week from today, on Wednesday, April 6, at Purchase College. In fact, like in the past, there will be two games — one at 6, the other at 8. There will also be slam dunk and 3-point contests, and I will be in the house for it all.
Just like last year, the games will consist of all-section and all-conference players, as well as other top seniors from around the section. When the rosters are ironed out for the games, I’ll be sure to post them here.

The fact that John Brezowski of Nanuet and Zack Mager from Clarkstown South aren’t playing is a joke.

You forgot about Jackson Zuvic from Haldane. He is playing for the blue team in the 8pm game. He is listed on the Saunders basketball site.
I’m guessing they weren’t nominated by their coaches or have another engagement. Martinez is there, and two kids from Suffern are playing. If Svoboda was selected, I would assume that Joseph and Mager would be selected ahead of him if they were able or nominated to play.
Learn to spell Brezovsky btw if you think that highly of him.

I’m pretty sure Joseph is not a Senior, but I could be wrong. Agreed on Brezovsky and Mager. Why are there two coaches for one of the teams and all the rest have one? Just another way for George Gaine to get his hands all over the game so people can see him and tell him how awesome he is probably.
Can anyone help me with the other 3 players that would start with Jabarie and Wagner on the blue team,I am not familiar with the other players.

Just beacause Wagner had a good game against you guys Haywood, does not deserve a start … I would take About 75% of that blue team over Wagner anyday
OK, a few things:
Organizers thought Joseph was a junior. He is in fact a senior and will be invited.
I corrected Zuvic. That one was my mistake when I copied the rosters.
Pope was an oversight on the part of the organizers. He will be invited, too.
Just like in the past the rosters are likely to change prior to the game. Players could still be added to one game or the other or moved.
As for certain players being included and certain being excluded…all-section players are added to the 8 p.m. game, followed next by all-conference players. The highest-rated all-league players are then added to the 6 p.m. game. For example, Oliver Svoboda of Suffern was the highest-rated player in his league who was not all-section or all-conference.

Haywood, I think Wagner should start on that team. He is a tough defensive minded kid and has a very nice release. Def. worthy of a start. Odongo, Moody and Healy are the other 3 kids I would start. They can all play the 3, 4 and 5.

The game is not as serious as you think Its to celebrate the seniors These coaches all volunteer there time Coaches of the year for each confrence don’t ask they are put on as coaches. Alot of coaches volunteer there time for this event. No need to start your personal vendettas again. We heard them all year. Your blogging about all star games go be a parent or do something positive with your time.
In response to the sports guys question as to why is tappan zees coach gearge gain coaching the blue team, as smith barny says he earned it thats why. Voted no by his fellow coaches,stop crying and change your name to the winey guy.

Joey… This is a WCBCA event. Poughkeepsie is not part of the WCBCA. Gause was all-section.
As for the coaches, those are the coaches who were voted coach of the year. There were five (one for each of the four conferences, plus Kevin Downes, the overall coach of the year). Obviously, since there are only four teams, one team must have co-coaches.
As I said last night, the rosters are still being worked out and will be finalized soon. For example, Luke Houston of Pearl River can’t play. There will be an adjustment there.
I will let everyone know when the rosters are finalized.

Mager, Brezovsky, and Vines once again looked over. It’s ashame that when voting for players for these teams it is never done fairly. Coaches don’t vote on the talent it’s all political. It is never done fairly nor will it ever be and great kids miss out like the ones listed above. Especially for Mager and Brezovsky great high school basketball careers completely overlooked.

Why doesn’t Rockland have its own senior game?
Rockland is part of the coaches association so that’s why the players are involved in this particular game.
Also, it may not seem like it, but the percentage of Rockland players involved in the senior all-star game is the same as from Westchester/Putnam team. In fact, Rockland had a higher-number of all-conference and all-section spots because it had a strong season.

Which playoff game are you talking about as Wagners good game. The first one when he had 21 on Moody. Second round when he had 19 agaisnt McCahey. Or the County Center game when he outscored Jabarie. He also guarded all these players and outscored them all
