This is the week when local teams will gather for scrimmages, the dress rehearsal for the new season. If your team will contribute in a scrimmage this week, shoot me an e-mail at jthomson@lohud.com with all the details: date, time, site and opponents.
The Section 1 website has very spotty information for the scrimmage schedule. It is not complete. For the best current schedule, log on to Section1Recruiting.com here where New Rochelle assistant coach Keith Fagan has compiled a good list.
Here are the schools that will host scrimmages this week…
Thursday: Clarkstown North, Roosevelt, Rye Neck, White Plains, Hen Hud, Lakeland, Ossining
Friday: Poughkeepsie, White Plains
Saturday: Bronxville, Suffern, White Plains, Ossining (New Rochelle will also scrimmage at St. Anthony’s)
