I have at least three camp stops planned for tomorrow but I hope to squeeze in a fourth.
I’m going to start at Fox Lane, one of the many schools up north that was bumped up to Class AA. Next it’s on to Lakeland, which is looking to return to the postseason behind star QB Connor Prunty. After that it’s on to Kennedy, a team that Rob Schwartz built from also-ran into a Class B contender in his first year as head coach. The Gaels lost some significant players to graduation, so it’ll be interesting to find out how they’ll retool.
Like I said up top, I hope to make another visit along the way. I plan to stop by more practices next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday leading up to the first scrimmages of the season on Thursday.
Anyway, check back tomorrow for more.

Nice piece on Spring Valley. When are you going to stop by the other Rockland teams such as Ramapo, Clarkstown North , Clarkstown South, Suffern and Tappan Zee. It always seems that the Rockland teams get the shaft in coverage unless you are Nyack or North Rockland. Most of us in Rockland want to know about the other teams as most of us are pretty tired of the exclusive only coverage of North Rockland and Nyack.
I have a very funny feeling this year that Clarkstown North will make some noise. They have talent, no superstars, but a lot of solid football players and are healthy. That will be there key, staying healthy. If so, they will be a playoff team. You heard it hear first. I have my flak jacket on and ready for the abuse that will come my way with the prediction I just made.
if your at lakeland, stop by yorktown…they will scrimmage next week
3 Yards… Just so you know, we tried very hard to stop by Ramapo last Friday and I called there two days ago hoping to set up a visit. So we have definitely tried there.
3 yards,
Well Said and posted, I agree. Solid Players on that North Team
