The countdown to Aug. 20 has begun. The first (official) day of football practice is just a little over two weeks away. I’ll be away for most of that time, but I’ll be back at work before the season kicks off for real.
We have already planned what should be an excellent first day of coverage. It will include about 10 reporters and camp stops at more than two dozen schools that first day. Expect blog reports full of news and information throughout the day.
In the meantime, I’ve set up a few more previews and Captain’s Corners for the next few days. I’ve also posted a couple surprises that I hope will get everyone talking.
However, if you have news or a story or a captain you’d like to share, e-mail one of my colleagues, either Rick Carpiniello (email@example.com) or Jake Thomases (firstname.lastname@example.org). You can e-mail me, too, but I may not receive it until I return from vacation.
Carp will head down to New Rochelle on Friday for what should be the busiest and best day of Champions Camp. He’ll post a few thoughts then.
