It’s been a couple days, but let’s start what I hope is a busy Friday on the blog here.

What is your favorite part about football?: I like pushing myself, working hard and doing something that other kids can’t do.

What do you do to prepare for games?: I pray and focus on what my responsibilities are in the game.

What did it mean to be named a captain?: I’m really glad and can’t wait to start taking charge of the team.

As a captain, what will it take to be a leader?: I am going to have to set an example for the rest of the team.

Who is your team’s best teammate? Why?: Michael Louis, a senior captain like me, because he is the heart of the team and gives 100 percent all the time.

Who is the best athlete on your team? Why?: We have a lot of good athletes and I can’t single out just one.

Who is your funniest teammate?: Probably Eugene Fallon, a junior. He is one of those tall, goofy kids, but he is still a good football player.

What are your team’s goals for the season?: I want the team to play like every game is its last and go all out. If we do that then I could care less about our record.

What will it take for you to achieve them?: It’s going to be tough, but we are going to have to step up and take on responsibility.

After high school, what’s your next step?: I am not really sure. I still can’t believe I am a senior already.
