Two of the spring’s most anticipated events are inching closer. Here’s the info on both:
— Ray Rice Day, New Rochelle High School, June 12
Former New Ro star Ray Rice will host Ray Rice Day at McKenna field from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Rice and other NFL stars will provide students from grades 3 through 8 instruction and will organize games among the campers. Last year, Ravens QB Joe Flacco joined Ray and you can expect more of Baltimore’s finest this year.
There are only 500 spots available and there is no cost to the event. People who are interested in participating are encouraged to pre-register for the event. For more info on the event and how to register, check out our website devoted to Ray Rice Day here. (We are a sponsor.)
— Frankie Williams Charity Classic, June 3
Team Frenji will host the third annual Frankie Williams Charity Classic next month. The game has been a who’s who of New York basketball, with local stars like White Plains’ Sean Kilpatrick joining forces with the city’s finest prep players, like Lincoln’s Lance Stephenson. I will provide a list of who will play in the game as we get closer but I just wanted to put the word out for now because I know the game is highly anticipated by local basketball fans.

Just heard from a reliable source that the event will be stacked again with a who’s who of talent. I heard that every player from the Frenji CYP team and many competitors in that tourney will come to play. If they have Kyrie there, which could be possible, the Jabarie-Kyrie matchup will be something to talk about for years to come. I heard they will be announcing the rosters today or early tommrow.
i like jabarie but putting the two in the same sentence is comical. kyrie will be in the nba in 2 years, jabarie – not so much.
