By popular demand, this is your Class B and C thread. The small schools deserve their own place to discuss the 2010 football season, so here it is.
Schedules for both the Class B and Class C teams are available on the Section 1 website. The only class we’re still waiting on is AA (and at least one of you is at work fixing that).
For the small schools, here are the facts you already know but will need to remember:
— Nanuet won the Class B title and reached the state final. The Golden Knights were a senior-laden team, so Class B seems very wide open. They lost several key players, including two-way stars Gabe Ostrow and Tom Hanney.
— Nanuet defeated Sleepy Hollow 29-6 in the Class B final at Mahopac. Pleasantville and Kennedy were the other semifinalists. All three contenders faced their own significant losses to graduation, although not as heavy as Nanuet.
— And Sleepy Hollow has moved back to Class A.
— Bronxville defeated Croton-Harmon in the Class C final at Mahopac and eventually reached the Dome. The Broncos return enough talent to make them a strong preseason favorite, including healed QB Jack Near and massive lines led by Kieran Borcich, who reportedly committed to Boston College.
— 2008 Class C champ and 2009 runner-up Croton-Harmon has moved from C to B.
So who are the contenders in B? Does Nanuet have enough left to repeat? If not, and without Sleepy, which teams emerge as contenders?
Class C is different. Can anyone provide a reason why Bronxville will NOT repeat? And what about Dobbs Ferry? Can one of the section’s most storied programs of the last decade return to the top of Class C after two years without a championship?
Feel free to discuss these topics and more…

who else will run the ball for bronxville?
Dobbs Ferry is probably going to get smacked by Bronxville
Brad Davies will not be getting many carries. The comment by Section1Fan is clearly a joke. Bronxville did not have a 225 pound running back last year. However, Bronxville will return its power run game with Mitchell and a couple of upcoming juniors.
Bronxvilles Run game will be quite formidable running behind a veteran offensive line that dominated a year ago. Dillon Mitchell figures to be the feature back and is expected to put up big numbers. Also in the mix of ballcarriers is Ryan Hackett and Joaquin Corr, two tough, quick runners. Rising junior transfers Christian and Jackson Conway will also get a look at tailback and fullback. Jack Near looks to be taking the reigns at QB and hopes to lead the Broncos back for a state title. Mitchell of course is another skilled QB on the roster.
The Broncos have a significant loss at the center position…
The Broncos will be fine at center they have 2 kids coming up to battle it out and they are both pretty big kids, the younger upcoming center has a lot of weight on the other. Its #59 junior Kevin Bisconti and #78 sophomore Sean Callahan.

I forgot to put that in with the previous comment
i cant wait to see Nanuet @ Pelham rematch this year, Pelham has something to prove going into this season
Bronco’s are going to stampede through Class C!!
ive been hearing that next year’s broncos will not be as good as this year’s
kevin bisconti has gotten bigger and boy I’ll tell you he can move some weight..I’ll tell you this much I wouldn’t wanna be an opposing defender goin up against this kid..He also might be joining kieran borcich at bc
Pelham is the team to beat in class B. I really think so, they are returning many players that were sophmores last season and have a heavy returning senior class. There lineman is basically the same except they lose one tackle that could be replaced. They have on offense returning Sr.FB Joe miller, JR QB Dylan Tuttle, Jr Rb Matt Landis, and Jr WR Ke’shaun Stallworth and there whole line from last season.
Bronxville with have no problem replacing their lb core, with two twins transfering and checking in at about 6-0 220 and joaquin corr bulkiing up in the offseason and now weighing a hulking 183 pounds, with instincts to match, bronxville will be just fine at line backer in my humble opinion
I can get three reps of 185 am i a beast
I am the real Tom Moore and i can bench 7 reps of 195. Im frail from tofu and brews
Forest Morgan, Mike Phelan, and the Hoosic Falls QB are the best qbs in class C…at least out of the teams SL played.
