NFA scrimmaged Hillhouse. I heard they have alot of length and are very athletic.
It has become clear this is the worst MV team of the past 3-4 year. MV losing does not deserve its own individual post anymore. Btw your doing a great job josh, your staying on top of everything. keep up the good work.
Mount Vernon losing should be front page headline news, even if it’s a scrimmage.
Seriously, M V losing to a top school out of section should certainly have it’s own post. This is a local high school basketball blog. M V is still a top team.
Hillhouse is a top CT program- When you play top flight competition of course you will have some losses- Iona found that out with the DC Tourney they were in earlier this year.
Talk about inconsistent. Too up and down this year. Hillhouse is a solid program, but Mt. Vernon should never lose to them.
New Ro by 10 on Saturday.
Hillhouse is indeed a good CT program…..but it is CT! Iona lost in DC – HUGE difference from CT. Mt Vernon should absolutely be blowing out CT competition. Very dissapointing loss.
I love the MV Program, but you would think in a school that big they would have found a post presence. This team is small and cannot offset the height deficiency like some MV teams in the past. NFA can overcome a small front line with pure talent and speed – they will likely go to states this year again.
Scary,
That’s funny because Pok and New Ro find ways to. None of their big men are really dominant, but the enforcers by comittee might actually get one of them through this year.
scary
I have seen MV play twice this year against All Hallows and Cardozo- MV has been somewhat inconsistent- But I will say that if MV plays the way they did against Cardozo they will be hard to beat- I thought that was a great performance against a Cardozo team that was athletic and big-
MV played very hard and intense in that game-
Newburgh – MV will be a great game- Too great teams
states
You are right, those teams have so far, but MV is all over the board.
Iona
NFA is the better of the two this year. MV has done well in certain games despite being undersized, but any talented team with height will beat them most of the time. I am shocked that MV does not have good height in the program.
