Croton duo to guest star on VC Chat

November
3

Croton-Harmon senior standouts Joe Tralli and Bobby Dusconi will be live in our studio for Wednesday’s edition of Varsity Central Chat. The show starts begins at 7 p.m. and can be watched on lohud.com/vclive.

Those guys will answer my questions and your regarding this weekend’s Section 1 Championships. Croton, the defending champ, faces Bronxville in Sunday’s Class C final at 5 p.m.

I’ll also be announcing the Player and Coach of the Week, and answering your questions on the upcoming weekend. We’ll be off the air by first pitch of the World Series, so don’t worry. You won’t miss a thing.

  1. Iona Power

It seems to me that Croton players and fans constantly feel the need to talk smack on the blogs and in the newspaper. I remember hearing Coach Catano all week before the Bronxville game saying “I dont care how big they are” and all the fans talking about how Bronxville was going down. In reality, Bronxville did its talking on the field and all we heard from coach Catano was not “give B-ville credit” but rather “we werent at full strength” and “we didnt have Bobby Dusconi.” Im sure these are two fine young men but in my opinion Croton needs to learn to stay quiet all week and just play football.

  5. scary

    Bronxville wins this one easily.

  6. BloodSweatNTears

no football team should ever care about the size of there opponent…i agree with Coach Catano

  7. Class C

Maybe there should be a player from Croton and one from Bronxville. Wouldn’t that be better than 2 kids from the same school?

  8. HS football Fan

How about some kids who are now playing college ball to come on and give some advice to the up coming kids.

  9. Fan

How about some different teams? Hasn’t Croton been on already?

You should have on Gabe Ostrow and Bobby Smalls. The B finals stars. That is going to be a better game anyways.

  10. class c fan

ostrow has already been on, and croton hasnt so you have no idea what your talking about

  11. not for nothing

croton fans are amoung the most ignorant…always talking smack…i hear that the bronxville kids are really looking forward to the game. i’m sure the ch tools will have a ton of excuses and negative things to say after the game. do us all a favor and keep your slurs to yourselves.

  12. Da Kid

Croton is lucky to be in the championship. Bronxville players should be going on. Croton dodged a major bullet last week

  13. Class C

    Not for nothing,

Your post is ignorant and foolish. If you are a Bronxville fan, then you are disrespecting that team. Let the players play and keep your idiotic thoughts to yourself.

    A Bronxville parent.

  14. not for nothing

    Class C…clearly from croton…you are a loser

  15. Class C

    Not for nothing,

Nope, not from Croton, but from Bronxville.

And not a loser, unlike you. And if you are from Bronxville, why don’t you let us know who you are and I will give you a call and we can talk about it.

  16. not for nothing

Class C…if you really are from bronxville why didn’t you respond to the blog below with the same vigor?

This blog has taken a turn for the worse and it is not being monitored properly by the Journal News. There are accusations here about illegal activity that are being made without any element of proof. There are people calling kids “lazy fat asses”. These are high school kids we are talking about, not NFL players who get paid millions or college kids on full rides, just some 16, 17 and 18 year old kids who play for the love of the game. The defamatory and outrageous slams of kids need to stop.
My suggestion to the Bronxville players is to ignore this blog and some of the morons who post on it. Don’t respond, don’t post, just let your play this weekend speak for itself.”

If you are from Bronxville, show some class and stop putting down other teams. And if you aren’t from Bronxville, just show some balls and admit it.
