Pizzurro making his name known

July
10

Also in today’s Journal News, I caught up with Tommy Pizzurro, the lineman who transfered from Iona Prep to St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale for his senior season.

Pizzurro started on a National Championship team at Aquinas and has turned himself into a blue chip prospect. After a prep year at Hargrave Military Academy, the 315-pound tackle should get offers from the elite programs — Tennessee, Penn State, Auburn, and Boston College to name a few who are already interested.

Click here to watch Pizzurro’s highlight tape, which is on his own website www.thomaspizzurro.com. You should also check out the St. Thomas Aquinas football site, which details the team’s storied undefeated season and run to state and national titles.

If you question whether Aquinas is legit, look at where Pizzurro’s senior teammates are headed to play in college:

Duron Carter, WR, Ohio State
Ben Turk, P, Notre Dame
Jordan Cowart, OL, Notre Dame
Dwayne Difton, WR, UConn
Gabrison Holmes, TE, Purdue
Ronnie Kennedy, DB, Central Michigan
Ryan Becker, QB, UPenn
Conor O’Neill, LB, Wisconsin
Dezmen Southward, OL, Wisconsin
Dylan Drake, DL, Yale
Will Nesselt, OL, UMass

That’s three other offensive lineman headed to Wisconsin, Notre Dame and UMass, and a tight end to Purdue (Surprisingly, though, none of these players are headed to a Florida school).

Pizzurro should have his name added to that list by Christmas. He’ll likely play the season at Hargrave and, since he’s solid academically, could enroll at a four-year school in time for spring practice.

Also, last night I covered the Mets-Dodgers game. And by, the Mets just aren’t very good right now.

watching that tape he needs to improve his strength. Rarely did he drive people down the field. He has above average footwork but does not look strong enough to play at the schools you mentioned. Also, it definitely makes lineman look better when your running backs are Gio Bernard (Offers from most SEC and ACC schools) and James wright (big 10 and acc offers).

  2. ionaprepcrazed

O’neil and Pizzurro are headed for big things. So are the rest of the iona prep players. yeahhhh

  3. ionaprepcrazed

Pizzuro looks so strong . he is a beast. ny giants better keep a eye on this kid. wow

  4. Not happening

If the paper was right about his height 6’ 1”, he is headed to D 3 at best. His HS does not matter and certainly strength will not matter. So unless he has found a way to grow several inches or is changing positions to FB or LB, sorry. Good luck to him regardless.

  5. IonaPower

With all the Division 1 schools in the state of Florida (Florida, Florida State, Miami, South Florida, Central Florida and Florida Atlantic) I would find it concerning for him that he did not secure an offer playing for one of the top programs in the State of Florida.

He should have taken the Air Force or Navy offer because I think it will be difficult for him to get his dream SEC offer.

If you are a SEC level or Big 10 level recruit etc coaches will offer you whether you play for a NY school or a Florida school. A defensive lineman from Curtis in Staten Island has over 10 big time offers. A defensive linemen from Holy Cross committed to Virginia. Ray Rice went to Rutgers. Scott Vallone from St. Anthony went to Rutgers.

At the end of the day the kid still would be going to Hargrove Military Prep School even if he stayed at Iona Prep even though I would agree that the level of High School competition in Florida is by far better than anything in NY.

  6. Dreamer

if pizzuro would have worked half as hard as he had to at aquinas, he could’ve stayed at iona, and probably would’ve been a dominant force in the chsfl. now, great accomplishment transferring, playing, and starting at aquinas, but he still is shorter than the d1a guys want, is still heavy legged, and lacks in mobility. was a 1aa scholarship guy at iona, and even with hargraves, will still be a 1aa scholarship guy. because if he wasn’t, the numerous 1a coaches that came thru aquinas last year would have definitely offered him. saw him last season on aquinas’ tv games. good player, probably a center in college because of his measurables.

  7. ionaprepcrazed

haters please stop. tommie can do it!

  8. 10801

Iona power also makes a very good point. Pizzuro was playing for the best team in florida, and possibly the best team in the country, and still only secured basically 1aa offers. Now there is nothing wrong with that, as that is very good football, but with being a full qualifier and playing for the number 1 team, if you still can not even get an offer from FIU, i doubt hargrave is going to turn you into a division 1a player.

  9. Rileygirl

Ionapower, are you serious? You would arue that the level of comp. is not that much better in Fla? WOW!!!!!! Look at the number of kids goin D1 in Florida and compare it to the entire state of NY. NY gets about 25 kids going D1 while Fla turns out over 400 a year. Fla, Mia and Fla State,( and now South FLa) routinely have top ten recruiting classes and all of their kids come from Fla. Then you have the USCs, NDs , Rutgers and the SEC that also come in and poach more talent.
Every once in a while you might get a NewRo, CBA or St Anthonys that can play on a national level, however, the state of Fla with Miami Northwestern, Lakeland, Opaka, StThomas…... normally have 4 of the top 10 naational programs in the country

  10. IonaPower

    Rileygirl

You need to read my entry- This is what I said

“I would agree that the level of High School competition in Florida is by far better than anything in NY.”

So where did I say that Iona or NY or anything Football in NY is better than Florida-

I have been watching football long ebough to realize that New York Footabll is miles behind Florida- For that matter I might ask the same question to you for you even saying that St. Anthony, CBA etc can compete with the Florida schools. The NY top teams would not even get past the 2nd round in the Florida 4A, 5A or 6A playoffs.

  11. IonaPower

    Rileygirl

My point was that if you are a division 1 player the coaches will come to New York. Scott Valone (St. Anthony)Rutgers John Ferrara (Farrell) Michigan, Chris Braithwright (Holy Cross) – Virginia, Oday Oboushi (Xavarian)- Virginia are just a few of the LINEMEN from the CHSFL AAA that secured big time offers.

I will contend that Pizzuro would have still ended up at Hargrave whether he attended Iona, Byram Hills (He is a armonk resident) of St. Thomas Aquinas. He was practicing the spring before his senior year at Aquinas so these D1 coaches were well aware of him.

    IonaPower
I don’t know that much about the situation for this kid, but from what I’ve read I think you’re correct – had he stayed at Iona he probably would have ended up with 1aa offers after his senior year just like he did at St Thomas Aquinas and still be headed to Hargrave if he really wanted the 1a offers.

Its certainly possible Pizzurro improved with the daily competition he faced playing (and impressively starting) for the nation’s #1 team. I’ve seen a few articles about Pizzurro and most of them were regarding his attending camps at all the major schools and going on unofficial visits. Certainly, every school had a chance to see him play and work out. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with getting a 1aa scholarship. Maybe attending Hargrave will help getting the 1a offer, obviously being a year older and a year stronger is a big help to any recruit. I think its fair to say that there was something about Pizzurro that kept the major schools from offering a scholarship (i.e. height, arm length, quickness, etc).

By the way, is this the same school that Mathews from Fox Lane transferred to for a short time?

    riley chick

you need to read better. thats what Ionapower said, chick.

  14. Dreamer

Pizzuro didn’t have to leave NY to secure a D1A or multiple D1A scholarship offers. All he had to do was work hard while he was at Iona. D1A College Coaches all come thru the NY schools during the Evaluation period if there are potential guys. Such as:

No denying Pizzuro has transformed himself, but “you are what the D1A Coaches think you are.” If Pizzuro has to be an SEC D1A OL, than go walk on and earn it. Wouldn’t be the 1st player to not be evaluated properly.

  15. mt.t

i honestly dont think pizzuro was even good enough to play at aquinas he probably just got through the season there because of the talent surrounding him. Junior year at Iona he was far from a stand out player. If he was going to get a big time offer it would have definitely already happened at the number 1 high school in the nation. There is no shot he will jump from Hargrave to an SEC team. The kids that go to the SEC teams were probably getting looked as underclassmen in high school.

    Good luck but im doubtful

  16. IonaPower

    Hoops fan

Yes that is right- Matthews had a brief stint at Aquinas-

Pizzuro was a good player but he DID NOT Dominate in the CHSFL AAA.- He would have been the starter at tackle for Iona Prep. Iona Prep also did very well inserting linemen that had the necessary quick feet to help run the spread offense.

I also think some aspects of trying to land a college full ride is about getting the hype. I found it funny that a high school player has his own web page- Also if a player has the financial means he can attend a lot of college camps which could lead to interviews by Scouts.com who sends reporters to all these camps.

At the end of the day I hope the player does land a football schlorship to a great football school. I just happen to think it might be difficult.

  17. Bucks76

I have followed St. Thomas Aquinas and South Florida football for a long. time. We have had many great teams at St. Thomas Aquinas and many great OL icluding Notre Dame current starters Sam Young and Dan Wegner. The 2008 St. Thomas team is the best in the history of the school and also one of the best in the history of high school football.

Pizzurro game to St. Thomas and did something very rare. He did not play spring ball and joined the team for summer camp. He started 16 games and dominated. Most of our players are in the system for 2 years before they ever see the field. Our offense averaged over 300 yards per game on the ground and the majority wnet behind Pizzurro.

In the state championship game which also secured the National Championship for St. Thomas Aquinas Pizzurro was touted as the game MVP on TV. Throughout the game big play after big play went behind Pizzurro. Often he picked up 2 and 3 blocks on the same play.

Throughout the season he dominated several D1 commited DL. St. Thomas Aquinas played 4 or 5 Nationally ranked teams and Pizzurro was a stand out in every game.

The kid is 6’3” 305 lbs. He is a Road Grader. He has great feet and moves exceptionally well at the second level and down field. The speed of the game is the fastest in the country.

The only reason the big offers did not come is because he missed spring ball in Florida and his Senior Film never got out until early January after the season.

Coach Smith the legendary St. Thomas Aquinas coach went on the public record sying, “Tommy Pizzurro is the toughest S.O.B. Offensive Lineman to ever play at St. Thomas Aquinas.

By the way as we were running behind Pizzurro we had a Jr. LT named Brandon Linder who is 6’6’ 290 lbs who is down to Ohio State, Florida. Notre Dame and Miami and is in the class of 2010.

That is why Pizzurro is going to Hargrave and according to our coach being heavily recruited by Penn Stae, Pitt, Tennesse, Cincinatti and Auburn to name a few.

Pizzurro is a Big Time D1 OL.

  18. 10801

    Bucks76,

i go to school in south florida, and you should know how many scouts were at every st thomas game for the plethora of recruits they have. I really find it hard to beleive that if he had as good a season as you said that no d1a schools, not even fau or fiu, extended an offer.

  19. IonaPower

The questions that I have is how come rutgers was not all over pizzuro after his jr year at iona. Rutgers has stated many times that they never want to lose any top players from the metro area. My other question would be how come a south florida or central florida did not make an offer. You would think these programs would want as many players as possible from a st thomas aquinas. All because a schoolis talking to you does not mean you will get an offer.

  20. 10801

    Iona power,
USF and central florida are pretty much second tier, above fau and fiu. FIU is known for scouring the state and offering EVERYONE. It is very hard to find a kid with even the slightest d1 potential in florida without an fiu offer.

  21. IonaPower

    10801

I agree – South Florida had a big recruiting class and could challenge for the Big East- It sounds like this kid probably would not have accepted a Florida Atlantic offer.

Talking about individual players is a tricky and sensitive subject but I will just say that the Iona coaches do their best to advise players and parents about the realities of the recruiting process and sometimes the parties involved find it hard to accept.

The perfect example of making the most of an opportunity was Ian Solomon from NR. I remember hearing him comment about the recruiting process and he was very level headed and realistic. He was happy to accept a D1AA offer from Stoney Brook. Now he is a 3 year starter in a very good program in New Rochelle who knew where he would have a good experience.

I of course hope that things work out for the best for Tommy Pizurro.

  22. IonaPower

I meant that Ian Solomon was a 3 year starter at NR who is now in a good situation at Stoney Brook.

  23. Rileygirl

Ionapower forgive me. I read too quickly and I stand corrected. The CBA and Newro teams could have played on a national level and been in the game. Lack of depth would have hurt Newro . Pizzuro would not have started at Iona had Dillon Quinn stayed there. That is not debatable. Quinn will get run this year as a freshman at BC

  24. IonaPower

    Rileygirl

Dillon Quinn was a year ahead of Tom Pizzuro as he had to repeat a grade at Trinity Pawling. Dillon Quinn is a massive strong side defensive end that will play as true freshman. Iona Prep certainly could have used both players as they are high caliber talents. It is a tribute to the coaching staff that they were able to overcome the loss of these players and win a CHSFL AAA championship which was a huge accomplishment in finally overcoming St. Anthony.

  25. Thanks but No Thanks

Bucks76, I mean Mr. Pizzurro, thanks for stopping by and giving us a blow by blow self-promotion piece on your son. Isn’t it enough you managed to snow Kevin into doing a puff piece on your son, you have to come on here and write that garbage? Sir, with all due respect, a bunch of people that sound very knowledgeable and have always been very respected posters have come on here and exposed your son for what he is. A good high school player that isn’t good enough for the big time, but good enough to be one of the few that get a scholarship to play football in college. Why isn’t that enough for you? Why do you have to live through your son and make him bigger than he has to be? Do some research for christ sake, and you’ll see it’s a tremendous honor just to be considered good enough to get a scholarship. Why do you have to make him out bigger than he is, pump him up as this super player, when he is not. Or, just let time do the talking. If he’s really that good he will get the offers he seeks, and all is good. Now you have all these people coming out of the woodwork to trash, or at least knock your son down a few pegs. Anyone who knows anything about recruiting for college football knows if your son was going to get the type of offers he is looking for he would have received them by know. He could spend the next 10 years at Hargrave and he’s not gonna get those offers. The only way he would get them after a year at Hargrave is if he hasn’t qualified yet. So are you saying your son didn’t get it done in the classroom and is a failure at being eligible for a college scholarship? Now you see what you have done? According to you, either your son is a really good football player and got failing (or well below average) grades, or he is eligible for a scholarship, just not a good enough player for the big-time. Either way your kid looks like an idiot. Nice Job Dad.

  26. Tough Action

    Thanks
Your post is way out of line. You do have some good points. But most of the people who said he was not a big time D-1 player atleast wish the kid good luck. That post above is just a dream crusher. Next time bring it down several notches.

  27. 10801

    lol

    thanks took it to far

  28. Bucks76

    Thanks but no Thanks
I am not Mr. Pizzurro. I am an avid High School Football and College fan as well as a High School Coach. In addition I have a son that was a Parade All American OL and currently plays at an Elite College program. My Team in Texas played in the State Championship 3 out of the last 4 years and won it twice. I have coached lineman who currently play at Miami, Vanderbilt, Abliene Christian and have one currently commited to Texas for 2010 and one other 2010 with several big offers. I also have coached in camps in South Florida and have a close connnectionj to South Florida football and their coaches.

Those are my credentials. What might yours be in evaluating talent?

I also coached Pizzurro at the US Army All American combine in San Antonio Texas prior to his transfer to St. Thomas. He was a stand out at the combine in position drills and one on ones.

I do not why you are personally assaulting this kid or his family but it is not necessary. Watch the St. Thomas film. the LT #65 is one of the Top rated players in the country for 2010. St. Thomas ran the ball behind #74 the RG or had him pulling and leading the play or trapping most of the time.

This kid is legit and will be a D1 player vat a big school.

  29. football giant

Thanks just got schooled! Bucks, I am still not sure why these top college teams who are in fact aware of him, haven’t offered and would rather him go to Hargrave. Would a senior tape really have that much of an impact? I am not doubting this kid, but it seems odd that he did so well at the top team in the country, but yet he can’t get the offers due to a tape delay.

Regardless, I wish this kid and his family the best.

  30. Thanks but No Thanks

Bucks76 and football giant, you’re both idiots. ooooooohhhhh I got schooled. yeah right. I can say anything I want online. I’m a NFL head coach, I’ve been coaching for 35 years, I’ve coached the greatest offensive linemen who have ever played, I invented the game of football, blah blah blah. The bottom line is this kid AND his father need a reality check. And oh yeah, by the way, some high school football coach from Katy Texas (the only school in Texas to be in a State Championship game 3 out of the last 4 years) has nothing better to do than come on this forum and promote Thomas Pizzurro, yeah right…hahahahahahahahahhahahahhaahahahahhahahahah lolololololololololol. Thanks Mr. Pizzurro/Bucks76, I needed that laugh. What a joke.

  31. football giant

Thanks.. I am not sure which is worse A) The fact that you think this guy Bucks spent the time to look up info about Katy Texas, so he can lie on a Journal News blog or B)The fact that you went and googled about it after he mentioned it. I am going with B. You are a lowlife who gets his rocks off by essentially attacking an high school kid. You initially had some good points, but your sarcasm and tone was pathetic. If you disagree with what someone wrote, then that is your choice. But to come across like a know it all punk is pathetic. Go back to googling..that’s the real joke now.

  32. go long

football giant, I am going with choice B. Thanks but No Thanks no need to get that harsh. Tough Action’s comment “your post is way out of line” hits the nail on the head. If you wanted to deflect this thread on to you and your antics, you did a great job.

  33. IonaPower

I thought Southlake Carroll was in the Texas 5A Finals.

Bucks76 is certainly entitled to provide his analysis which I am sure is very knowledgeable. The main question that I have is that I am still questioning why Rutgers would not have been all over Pizzuro after his Junior year of why no Florida colleges were all over him after Aquinas played 15 games.

  34. Bucks76

All the information I am sharing can be confirmed by Head Coach George Smith the legendary Head Coach of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Hargrave Military is the #1 Prep School in the country. They are very selective and have over 500 kids try out annually to get on the team. Their past rosters are full of NFL and great D1 players. Pizzurro will go there fully qualified, play the season and will be enrolled at a D1 program in January.

Besides the Service Academy offers which also are a great indication of this kids character and work ethic as they are very selective Pizzurro also had several Gray Shirt offers but opted for Hargrave.

Thanks what level and who have you really played for. Have you made it past Playstation. Don’t be afraid to identify yourself if you are such an authority.

  35. 10801

I understand how great hargrave is, but most of the big time kids to go through hargrave have allready received d1

  36. 10801

I understand how great hargrave is, but most of the big time kids to go through hargrave have already received d1 offers going in and are simply there to qualify. I just don’t believe that having a good season at hargrave will give any more exposure or offers than playing for the number 1 highschool team in the country.

  37. Thanks but No Thanks

Mr. Pizzurro/Bucks 76 right after you pal. When you admit your his dad i’ll let u know who i am. football giant, if you follow high school football like i do you don’t have to google the fact that katy texas has been in the 5a finals alot recently, just watch it on tv like I do every year. Are all you guys kidding me? you really think a guy from texas is coming on this blog to comment about some OL from FLORIDA!!!!! How can you all not see this jerk off is clearly pizzuro’s father, and thats what i object to. All you ignoramuses need some lessons in reading comprehension. I’ve said nothing bad about the kid, other than he needs a reality check and to be thankful he’s one of the 4% of hs football players that are good enough to receive a college scholarship. This kid has his own website for christ sake!!! That alone should tell you the kid or his father have issues! If he had his head screwed on straight he’d tell his old man not to put up his own website if it’s the father’s idea, if not, and its the kid’s idea, there you go, thats all you need to know. The fact that he does tells you how attention starved he/the old man is. It’s almost as bad as the kid from utah who faked his entire recruiting process!!! In my opinion the kid clearly isn’t on the 1a level, but my opinion doesn’t mean squat. the opinion that counts are the ones from the guys who give out the 1a scholarships, and they have spoken loud and clear. they agree with me. 10801 is correct when he says the guys that go 1a out of hargraves are the ones that haven’t qualified yet. if pizzurro is fully qualified like his father said, then why would a 1a school offer a year from now when they wouldn’t offer now. and don’t give me that crap about his “senior film being delayed” BS. If he was good enough they would have offered, period, end of conversation. The bottom line is until the kid goes somewhere we wont know the truth. But, mark my words, the schools mentioned, tennessee, penn state, auburn and bc WILL NEVER OFFER THIS KID! My whole point has been if you disagree than shut up, walk on, and prove them wrong. it’s been done before and will be done again. But to come on this forum and shamelessly self-promote is nauseating, self serving and indicative of people with ego problems and what i object to. And to pawn your self off as some (pardon me while I spend the next 10 minutes laughing) high school coach from texas that has all these connection to florida football. CMon now, how can you guys sit back and let this happen! like i said, go back and read my posts again. no where did i trash the kid. i called the father out for laughingly posing as someone else in order to make himself feel better. for all i know the kid is a good kid and wanted to take whatever offer he received, but the old man is to hung up on living through the kid and he wouldn’t let him. All I know is that the father needs some serious help, and you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for defending this bucks 76 character. unless ofcourse its the old man posting under several different names which has been known to happen on this blog.

  38. Thanks but No Thanks

Oh, by the way, Mr. Pizzurro/Bucks 76, you’ve exposed that you are one in the same in your previous post. you stated that “Pizzurro will go there fully qualified, play the season and will be enrolled at a D1 program in January…Pizzurro also had several Gray Shirt offers but opted for Hargrave.”

Umm, you idiot, playing at a prepschool for the fall season and then enrolling in a school in january IS GREY SHIRTING!!!!!!! So how can you grey shirt but choose hargrave over grey shirting??????? And, Greyshirting is for THOSE ALREADY OFFERED A SCHOLARSHIP!!!!!!

You would think a high school coach from texas with such an incredible recruiting resume would know such a basic thing. dear sir, save your self and just stop posting. let time prove me wrong, until then keep watching your kids highlight film over and over…..

  39. Jennifer Pelusi

My name is Jennifer Pelusi and I am writing in response to all the nonsense that is floating around regarding my stepson Tommy over this stupid article. I think it is terrible how everyone feels it is their business to downgrade my son. Particulary, “Thanks but no Thanks.” No one knows how much Tommy has sacrificed and overcome to achieve what is has achieved – no matter how small and insignificant it may seem in everyone else’s eyes. My boyfriend is not Buck 76 and I hope Buck 76 puts his name on the blog if he decides to write another, but it really isn’t that hard to figure out with the information he has provided. It’s easy to pass judgement and criticize another’s actions and decisions, but all I see from most of these comments are unhappy, jealous people. When Tommy decided to move to Florida is was a difficult decision for him but he wanted to get better and take a shot and the only way to do that was to play against better competition. And that does not take away from Iona accomplishments either. Tommy’s father is a loving & supportive and Tommy Jr would not have been able to acheive what he has if he wasn’t. What you see as “living through his son” is being a good parent. I made the website for Tommy b/c I am learning how to do web design and thought it would be a good place to start. People said when Tommy went to Florida is would sit on the bench – but he proved them wrong overcoming SHOULDER SURGURY & KNEE SURGURY all within his high school career. I repsect Tommy for his motiviation and dedication to football. Life is about timing, and sometimes things don’t work out at the time and place you want them to but if you believe and have faith in what God wants for you – then you will make the right choice. Hargaves approached Tommy and we, as parents encouraged Tommmy to go, b/c it would be an oppertunity for him to become bigger and stronger and if no offers came along that he was interested in taking he would be no better or worse off then he is now. I think you are a mean and malicious person who probably never played competitive sports and was not accepted by his piers growing up and obviously has a great deal of issues. Tommy Sr. is right and I should ignore everything that has been written, but I have to say – to upset and malign a kid is a pretty shitty thing to do. Obviously the “Iona Christian” message has been lost on many of you. Mr Devaney approached Tommy on the sidelines of a camp he was attending with one of Iona friends as a bystander and Tommy Jr. was happy. But honestly, as I previously wrote, I wish the article was never written. But I do know one thing about Tommy Jr. and that is – things like this and negative, petty people like many of you are what motivate him. I had the “balls” to identify myself – let’s see if you have any! I doubt it – b/c you appear to be a coward who hides behind his venomous words…

  40. Bucks76

    Thanks
Enrolling in January after playing Prep would be early enrolling for the 2010 class not Grayshirting for 2009.
Your are a hopeless loser who is obviously jealous of a high school kid and his family.

You do not have a clue and its apparent your knowledge of the game is from video games.
In Texas we have steers and queers and your not a steer.

  41. Hoops fan

    Thanks,
Give it a rest. No one seems to agree with you. How can you be so sure Bucks is Mr. Pizzurro?? You can’t. Also, how can you be so sure Pizzurro won’t get any 1a offers while at Hargrave? I agree with other posters like IonaPower who said that having played in the CHSFL, later at the #1 school in the nation, attended every known combine and visited many of the big-time schools should’ve given this kid enough exposure. Frankly, maybe he’s had too much exposure! Maybe colleges have seen some of his shortcomings too often (i.e. height, arm length, etc) and decided that he doesn’t have enough upside. A lot of 1a linemen are huge kids with tremendous upside who get redshirted to be molded into shape and put on 40+ lbs. College coaches seem to prefer a kid who is not entirely polished but that can be formed into a player as opposed to a finished product with limited upside. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a top 1aa school.

  42. Tough Action

    Thanks,

You went from being out of line to showing everyone here you are a complete jack ass. You need to leave your computer and go get a girl friend, right this second. Your mental well being is dependent on this action.

  43. Thanks but No Thanks

Hoops fan, thanks, you obviously agree with me. you said exactly what I’ve been saying the whole time. PS I got news for you, every post that disagrees with me is just Mr. Pizzurro posting under a bunch of different names. Think about it. There’s a blog entry about your son on a very popular website, you’ve paid for the kid to transfer from NY where you live to FL, so obviously you are VERY into your son’s football career, yet you never come on this blog to post as yourself and defend yourself against my allegations???? Hmmmmmm, seems fishy to me, unless of course he has already defended himself, as Bucks 76. And, I don’t buy the argument that the guy won’t engage “haters”, because he is so involved in his kid’s career, based on his actions so far, that he would absolutely “defend” himself. Let me ask you, do you think it’s more likely that a high school football coach from texas would come on this blog to defend a kid you coached FOR ONE DAY!!!!!????? or, the kid’s father posing as someone else.

  44. Tough Action

    Thanks,

Aren’t you the same guy who used a different blog name “football crazed” when blogging about the Iona camp and made someone’s father have to come on here and leave you his personal cell # ( which I am sure you did not use)??????

Did you learn your lesson about calling people out incorrectly?

And if that was not you, you should learn the valuable lesson “football crazed” got.

No one here agrees with the WAY you attacked this guy. Your original post had some valid points, you just did not approach it objectively. It seems like this kids father snubbed you at some point and YOU CAN’T LET IT GO. LET IT GO MAN, JUST LET IT GO!

  45. Thanks but No Thanks

Tough Action/Mr. Pizzurro nope, wrong guy.
