Iowa H.S. football coach killed

June
24

Check out this story on a prominent high school football coach from Iowa, who was shot and killed this morning in the team’s weight room.

Ed Thomas, the coach and AD at Aplington-Parkersburg High was murdered at 8 a.m. Thomas was the 2005 NFL National High School Coach of the Year, an award Tony DeMatteo actually won two years earlier.

What’s the world coming to? High school football coaches are getting killed at their own school? Obviously, we don’t know yet what the motive was. When you see the story, you’ll assume it’s a disgruntled player or parent. It doesn’t have to be the case.

But what if it is?

Football coaches have a tremendous influence on a kids life. Most kids throughout their athletic career have felt that that they should be getting run and that the coach has unjustly sat them. Never to the point of murder

Former player…to be able to want to shoot this Coach makes you scratch your head indeed..the man did alot for his community, and after those tornadoes ripped through the town, that school’s football program was one of the shining moments..could be a disgruntled player…but to kill him makes you look like total scum
