I dont see how the schedule went from 10 to 9 in some places. The state agreed that the regular season should be 6-7 games, and if a team wins the state title, that they have 12-13 games. That “maxes” them out, so some schools who won states couldn’t even play the thanksgiving bowl games due to that game being another game in the season. Other states, however, do have 10 game seasons plus playoffs. So to say Kingston HS has a 10 game season is false. to say Tri Valley does is also false. The state has thier own limit on games…maybe the NYSPHSAA should look into expanding the season, or Section I should just keep 6-7 games depending on league/class sizes, instead of cutting a game out to have a ridiculous modified-looking schedule of 5 games.

John, an opponent none the less. Their statistics are the following:

They return 18 out of 22 starters, thier running back had the fourth most rushing yards in ct last year with 1700,

Their quarterback threw for 700 yards, 11 touchdowns and no interceptions and ran for 500 yards

Thier best receiver caught 22 passes for close to 5oo yards and seven touchdowns.

All three are amongst the returning starters. Plus remember eastchester will play them after two hard weeks with Rye then Harrison.
They are a class s school in ct, but to call them weak without knowing them or who they play is irresponsible.

go eagles, I think stopcrying’s anger was directed more at the Section 1 “brain trust” (which created this scheduling fiasco in the first place) than Eastchester…

I commend them for getting an out of state game, but that’s kinda weak for an opponent.

The sad thing about Section 1 is we are the only Section that plays only six games this year. All other Sections will play nine regular season games down from ten. I ask everybody from every team in Section 1 does this not bother you. It should because our kids deserve to play just as many games as all the other Sections in the state. You would think that with all the taxes we pay our kids should have an equal schedule, maybe we should all stick together instead of talking about one another and demanding the schedule our kids deserve. And by the way there is a very easy way to schedule the same amount of games for everyone go ask the other Sections how they do it i did. Maybe Section 1 should give them a call you think?

WOW big news eastchester gets a 6th game. The toughest league in section one, AA north, the teams get only five games.Did these cuts come from section one director simmons?
