Hey Buddy,

when you're going around talking about grades, maybe you should check your grammar. You seem to make the same mistakes over and over again under 1000 different screen names. Notice how I used "your" and "you're" in two different ways. Do you need a lession in "there, their, and they're" as well. How about "to, two, and too?"

I think Pete Carrol was refering to his own camp Keith, where there are "qualified" football people running the show. Not Abbott and Costello and some fake player evaluation day...

A quote from STACK Magazine. "According to (USC Head Coach Pete) Carroll, the hunger to compete is what gets a player noticed. Being a well-rounded athlete, playing multiple sports and attending combines and camps will make coaches pay attention to your abilities."

Hmmm, "attending combines and camps". So, I guess the person on here saying not to go to combines and camps knows more about recruiting, and getting noticed by college coaches then Pete Carroll.

Here's the link:

I have to agree with Steve. Talk to your guidance counsler first. If you don't have the grades. why spend the money on an evaluation day? I know a couple kids at my sons school who were recruited hard by D2 & D3 programs. They were above averege football player who were ranked in the top 10 of thier class. They checked the grades first, then asked for the tapes. On the down side. There was a kid who was a top running back. Low grades, the schools stayed away. Just some food for thought. My sons friends did not attend an evaluation day. All was done through the coach, parents and kids.

Tax Man,

High School Coach is 100% accurate.
Not Even Close(Keith Fagan) has no clue, how can anyone even begin to say that Ohio State only recruits regionally because of "limited recruiting budget". What a Dope! My nephew played high school football in Ohio and the level of HS Football in that area is unbelievable! Penn State, Purdue, Ohio State, ND and to a lesser extent Michigan are all over those kids. The recruiting is so competive it isnt even funny. They only go south for skill positions, as Greg Schiano says, the state of Florida is where the speed is.
I have heard things about Section1/Keith Fagan...none of it any good. Another case of being in it for the buck$. Kids and Parents save your money.

Consult your coach and guidance couselor first.

Kevin,

As of right now as per Head Coach Joe Vito, these are the players from Section 1 on the Roster (I do believe the roster is subject to change based on players' confriming participation).

John Zoppo,JJCR

Samad Wagstaff, Paris Walker, and Markell Rice, New Rochelle

Antoine McGill, Clarkstown South

I'm not sure when the official roster will be released, and I don't know why others are reporting that there are additonal players on the roster. All I can do is tell you what the Head Coach of the team told me.

Tax Man, High School Coach wasn't even close. The only thing he said that was true was "no grades, no play." Everything else he said is so wrong it's not even funny. The guy obviosuly doesn't have a clue how that stuff works. The scary part is if kids listen to him and they waste opportunities. It's ignorant comments by guys like "high school coach" (cmon, does anyone really beleive this guy is a high schoiol coach) that is so dangerous.
