The hallowed CYP Basketball Tournament begins on Friday night at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. It’s 12-team, 6-night AAU event played on a phone-booth sized court. If you’ve never been, it’s definitely worth checking out at least once.

There will be two games every night from Friday through Tuesday, with the championship scheduled for next Wednesday.

Here’s the schedule:

Friday
New York Panthers vs. Redmen, 7:15 p.m.
Rodney Abrams vs. NJ Roadrunner, 8:30 p.m.

Saturday
New York Panthers vs. CT Select, 7:15 p.m.
NY Hustle vs. Garden Catering, 8:30 p.m.

Sunday
Team Frenji vs. Rodney Abrams/NJ Roadrunners winner, 7:15 p.m.
New York Gauchos vs. Team Odom/CT Select winner, 8:30 p.m.

Monday
MetroHawks vs. NY Panthers/Redmen winner, 7:15 p.m.
L.I. Lightning vs. Garden Catering/NY Hustle winner, 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday
Semifinals
Frenji/Roadrunners/Abrams vs. Gauchos/Odom/CT Select, 7:15 p.m.
MetroHawks/Panthers/Redmen vs. Hustle/Garden/Lightning, 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday
Championship, TBA

Don’t bother asking for rosters because nobody knows until the games actually start, not even the teams. It’s whoever shows up vs. whoever shows up. Just assume, though, that the best players in the Metropolitan area will be there, minus the guys who are in the Federation tournament.
