Bearification,
Congratulations that you will have several kids playing for Briarcliff next season, that's great. Guess who else will have several kids playing? EVERYONE ELSE. That statement really said nothing, so again, I will say enjoy mediocrity. Regarding my athleticism, you are free to draw any conclusion that you wish, but who are you? What's to say that you didn't just finish up a video game or can't break 10 seconds on a 40 yard dash? Back yourself.

Steve D,

I know several kids that will be playing for Briarcliff next season. Who are you to declare mediocrity? You are probably a nonathletic punk that just finished a video game. Crawl back under your rock please.

Are the Briarcliff fans still crying about getting beat by North Salem. Face it, you guys weren't as good as North Salem. Your coach was completely outcoached by Sassone and he had lost complete control of his team. You want to blame refs? That's about the most elementary excuse that anyone can make. For every call Briarcliff didn't get, there was a call that North Salem didn't get. Same with the Irvington game. So go back and continue to cry out this three and a half week old loss and with the graduation of your "Big Three," enjoy mediocrity for the rest of your program's existence.

Not Impressed,

If you look at the box score for that game, Miller, O'Neill, Greg Shea, and Tom Kruze all scored in the low teens in a 57-56 game. Karl Miras also had 8. To explain the lack of scoring, one can use the low-scoring game. I prefer to use the balanced scoring attack as the reason for their sub-par numbers. I was fortunate enough to be at the game. Miller and O'Neill were keyed in on by Malverne throughout the entire game. When they were hit with the double-team, they both found the open man for the basket. By your logic, you would want them to take that shot over 2 guys in order to put up 20+ points. The only shortcoming there is that they would have lost by at least 20. Kevin described their section championship by saying that the best TEAM won. With that said, I have never attended a North Salem game this year expected either Miller or O'Neill to score X amount of points. They play to win, no matter who scores, and that type of basketball player is better than one who averages in the mid-20's while playing for a losing team.

Miller and O'neil quietly "combine" to score a mere 23 in crunch time vs Malverne as the season comes to a close.

Here is a nomination for top 10 performances:

This did not get as much as a headline, but I was impressed. Marc Miller of North Salem scored 25 points and grabbed 27 rebounds to lead the Tigers past Kennedy 63-55 less than a week after Briarcliff downed the Gaels with a buzzer beater. The numbers that Miller put up in this game are not only amazing (I'll bet that this is the second highest single-game rebound total this year...to Miller's 30 rebound performance against Class AA Mahopac), but this win officially deemed NS a legitimate contender in Class B.

KEVIN

SHERROD WRIGHT IS A STAR NOW! HE SHOULD NOT BE ON THE FUTURES TEAM HE IS ALREADY ON THE FIRST TEAM TO STAY. THE PLAYER THAT CONTINUES TO IMPRESS EVERYONE I HAVE SPOKEN TO AND HAS EARNED THE RESPECT OF THE ENTIRE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON AND THE ENTIRE STATE FOR THAT MATTER IS THE DO-IT-ALL GUARD FOR MOUNT VERNON JORDAN LESSANE. HE IS YOUR FUTURE TEAM PLAYER FOR REAL. THE ANTICIPATION OF JABARI HINDS JOINING JORDAN LESSANE IN THE BACKCOURT HAS THE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON VERY EXCITED.

KEVIN,

Thanks for recognizing Poughkeepsie's players, especially Duane Clark. He has great skills and shows a terrific attitude on the court. He's a pleasure to watch, and I'm looking forward to seeing him and another outstanding sophomore, Dayvonne Witaker, for the next two years.
