Kevin,

I understand where you are coming from when you commended Sean Kilpatrick for skipping AAU for summer school, but the kids that you should be commending are the ones who worked hard in the beginning in order to avoid having to go to summer school. You did this with Mookie Jones last summer as well and I find it embarrassing how you can applaud committment in summer school. Maybe if you commended scholar athletes better during the regular school year, players might think twice about putting themselves in a position to go to summer school. How are these guys' grades anyway? Will they pass clearinghouse or will someone else have to take the SAT for them? Where are the values?

Mr Volo,

# 4 for Mt St Michael did play very well today. Unfortunately, he was the only offensive option for Mount. He is a strong powerful guard built like a running back. He can play D2 basketball for sure...I also played for Mt St Michael, but 2 decades after you did in the 70's.......Did you know that they named the gym after Richard Tricario 57'.A big sign with his name as you enter from the quadranlge....And Tricario was sitting behind the Mount team bench today as usual....

Iona Prep beat Mount St Michael easily.....29-19 at half. The score was 56-32 when I left with under 3 minutes to play and Iona was running them off the court in garbage time...Iona will beat Stepinac and Hayes in my opinion, after having seen all 3 teams play at least 2 games each...
